It can roughly be defined as the area that stretches from the Regal Circle at the Southern end of Mahatma Gandhi Road, up to the Mumbai University at the northern end, flanked by the Oval Maidan to the west and the Lion Gate to the east. Reaching Kala Ghoda is fairly simple.

So, if you're travelling by local train, then Churchgate is your closest train station. The nearest bus stop to Kala Ghoda in Colaba is about a 4 min walk away. And the closest ferry docks, the Sassoon Docks, are about 15 minutes from Kala Ghoda.
