When my husband, Divij and I first started discussing destinations for our honeymoon, we both agreed that Singapore should be one of the places we visit. For one, we had already planned to go to Bali for a tropical feel and then head to a city for a more modern feel. My husband and I were in Singapore for four days and had the time of our lives there!

Everything You Need to Know About Honeymooning in Singapore
Singapore is a very fun place to go if you and your other half enjoy city life. On our first day there, we got a quick bite and headed to Marina Bay Sands. Everything is pretty close to each other in Singapore if you’re travelling by cab but if you take a bus or the MRT, remember, you’ve gotta leave well in advance to reach on time.

Days two and three were all about shopping and exploring Singapore. There are so many malls and shops all around the city that you actually cannot cover everything in one day. We used to stop for just quick bites and then get back to shopping.

By night, we went to one of the most famous clubs in Singapore — Zouk. If you’re into dancing and enjoying signature cocktails, you’ll absolutely love this club. Oh, and the best part!? There’s a secret club inside the Zouk club where you’ll find people from all across the world doing hip-hop dance in circles. We had the best experience connecting with new people and dancing to the local tunes.

On the last day of Singapore, Divij and I headed to Universal Studios, Singapore. We were the most excited about Universal Studios because we wanted to do something fun and different We reached at sharp 11 AM by taking the MRT and like two excited kids, we got on every single ride based on different themes like Shrek, New York City, Sci-Fi City, The Lost World, etc. Hands down, this day was the highlight of my honeymoon!

How to Travel Everyday
While cabs are the fastest way to travel around Singapore, travelling by buses and MRT is cost-efficient. Since buses stop working post 12-12:30 AM, you’ll have to travel by cab if you’re coming back later than that time. But, for all the day travel, I recommend going by bus and MRT.
Best Time To Go
The best time to visit Singapore is from December to June. We went in January when there wasn’t any heavy rainfall and the temperature was just about right.

Pro Tip
- Singapore can be quite confusing if you’re going for the first time so make sure you speak to someone who’s been to Singapore before for getting some clarity.
- The folks in Singapore are really strict with their rules. At all costs respect their rules or be ready to be heavily fined.
- When going to Universal Studios, aim at going early so that the tickets don’t get sold out.
- Thousands of people turn up at Universal Studios including the locals so I recommend getting the express ticket. It is more expensive than your normal ticket but it will save a ton of your time on rides!
- Singapore gets humid in January so put as little makeup as you can!
