While we were still swooning over the fabulous pictures of Farhan Akhtar & Shibani Dandekar's intimate wedding ceremony, the fates smiled on us! This morning we woke up to a bunch of absolutely dreamy and drool-worthy pictures from Shibani & Farhan's boho Mehendi ceremony!

Let's Peek Into Farhan & Shibani's Mehendi Celebrations

The fabulous rooftop sundowner mehendi function was hosted by designer Payal Singhal and Nehali Kotian! The decor and theme reflected the couple's time in Tulum, so it was a Mexican fiesta that meets mehendi mela! Payal Singhal said, "We married Mexican detailing and colours with an Indian twist in a true blend of both cultures. From PS print rugs, cushion covers, colourful tassels and macramé elements to a custom-made Mexican Papel Picado bunting made from upcycled lehariya and bandhani fabrics; it was the little details that made the event truly special."  

To reflect the decor theme, Shibani's outfit was a bohemian kalidar sharara with Singhal's signature backless choli. The detailing was a mix of thread, wool and cord embroidery, mirror work and zardozi in pop colours inspired from Mexican folk craftsmanship.

Shibani's mehendi was minimalistic and quirky! And she even managed to put some on Farhan. 😍

It was an evening of fun with family, and friends! And the happiness of the couple radiates in every picture! Shibani especially just glows with her love for Farhan. ❤️

Drinking games were popular with the crowd. 🍷

And when you have friends by your side, you are sure to rock that party.🎉

The bride was serenaded to by her friends in what seems to be an absolutely fantastic performance!

And the bride took the time to enjoy the customary pani-puri, for which mehendi ceremony is complete without chaat? "We worked with Le Kitchen to create a fun menu that would accentuate the ‘Indian Feista’ vibe we were creating. Think pani-puri shots, paneer makhani tarts, guacamole sev puri, bite-sized vada paos and a chole fondue. And with our Sangrias in hand we danced the night away to some crazy Bollywood tunes," said fashion designer Payal Singhal.

She further added, "We also created a mini Mercado market for the favours, so that guests could enjoy the experience of picking the goodies we had curated for them from PS Bags to PS X Paio Shoes to Veni Gajras the girls had lots of fun making their hampers. Considering how our theme fused two distinct cultures, I knew the food had to reflect the same spirit too," said Payal Singhal. 

And you can just feel the love the families have in sharing this momentous occasion with the lovebirds. Truly, a joyous occasion for everyone!

This mehendi celebration was a total blast, and we are so happy to see Farhan and Shibani embark on this beautiful journey together. May their lives always be full of laughter and smiles!
