Beauty & Fashion Lessons To Learn From Celeb Brides

1. Masaba Gupta

In an intimate court marriage ceremony, multi-hyphenate Masaba Gupta married her actor beau Satyadeep Misra, whom she met on the sets of her eponymous Netflix show Masaba Masaba. With her next of kin and friends like family in attendance, Masaba's nuptials were an all-heart affair. And when the photos hit social media, we were floored by the designer's ethereal ensemble! Here are a few things we believe brides should take note of.

A Unique 'Barfi-Pink' Lehenga With A Double Dupatta

For her intimate wedding, Masaba donned the 'Paan-Patti' lehenga- a unique raw silk lehenga in a 'barfi pink' hue with gold embroidery from her bridal collection! She paired this with a lime green dupatta with a wallflower print on it, which looked supremely feminine and beautiful. The dupatta also had small organza booties all across with a fully sequinned border. The designer went in for a double dupatta along with an extra veil attached to the blouse. The blouse of her lehenga was a basic bustier with minimal embroidery on it. The most beautiful part of the lehenga is the customised border that consists of the palm, which is the first motif from the House of Masaba, along with a bird embellished on it.

Sleek & Clean Braid

One of the best things about Masaba Gupta's makeup and hair was her clean and sleek low braid. This was a new look for her since she has voluminous curls which she usually sports. The designer opted to keep the look minimal and slicked her hair back without any stray baby hairs running amuck.

'Chaand- Tara' Hair Jewellery

A trend-setting moment happened when we spotted the designer's hair dotted with gorgeous customised 'Chaand Taara' hair accessories. Inspired by South Indian headgear, the hair jewellery is shaped like the moon and stars in gold with pearls that look absolutely gorgeous!

Nude, Dewy Makeup

Another thing to learn from the designer's ensemble was her simple yet stunning makeup. Masaba went with nude makeup, khol-lined eyes, nude lips with brown lip liner bronzed cheeks and a dewy highlighter that made her glow like a goddess!

2. Kiara Advani

When actors, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer a few days ago, let's just say the internet went berserk! Our feeds were awash with their first few wedding images and the couple seems to have aced day wedding tailoring as well as beauty choices. In classic Bollywood fashion, the couple broke the news on their respective Instagrams with matching captions.  Honestly, it’s the kind of stuff fairytales are made of two talented Bollywood actors who meet while making their way to the top, sparks fly, and a true 21st-century romance unfolds! Ever since the news of the couple getting married broke out, fans and followers have been buzzing with excitement, especially about the starlet's beautiful bridal ensemble.

An Empress Rose Lehenga

For her wedding, Kiara Advani opted for an empress rose Manish Malhotra lehenga, intricately embroidered with detailing of Roman architecture, embellished with sequins and Real Swarovski crystals that gave it the designer's signature sparkle.

Clean Girl Nails

Accentuating her nails with a nude pink polish, Kiara picked a neutral manicure to complement her soft rose hued chooda and kaleeras. Clean girl nails is officially the trend of 2023 that's been making waves on runways and Instagram and for good reason. It's all about keeping your nails natural, just looking better, with nail paint shades that aren't that different from the nail's actual tint!

Skin Forward Beauty With Muted Rosy Makeup

Of course, when we saw Kiara's bridal ensemble, our eyes immediately landed on her flawless face. The secret behind this minimalistic glamour is the skin-forward approach that's all about natural beauty. Rooted in the 'skinimalism' trend, the actress sported a radiant glow which was a result of an amazing and strict pre-wedding skincare routine. Furthermore, to complement her empress rose lehenga, Kiara Advani wore a muted rosy makeup look which included a flawless base topped off with a wash of blush, a little bit of eyeshadow and nude lips. Brushed-up brows and mascara lad lashes accentuate her features sans overdoing it.

Traditional Floral Updo

Embracing classic bridal traditions, Kiara choose a sleek low hair bun decorated halfway with red-pink flowers that looked beautiful juxtaposed against her soft rose lehenga. Not only was it a fuss-free look, but the hairdo added symmetry to her face, especially with her centre parting that was decorated with a dainty maang tika.

Love Story Kaleeras

Kiara donned love story kaleeras designed by the amazing Mrinalini Chandra. The kaleeras were designed with gorgeous stars, moon and butterflies hanging with the couple's initials in the mix. Adding glory to the kaleeras was a thoughtful dedication to a beloved pet, a favourite travel destination and a little love and mischief. Furthermore, the jewellery designer incorporated domes to the kaleeras as per the bride's instructions, a callback to the couple's love for domed architecture.

Minimal Mandala Mehndi

For her mehndi, the actress chose a minimal mehndi rather than the traditional mehndi designs. With tapering patterns on her fingers and a cute floral mandala in the centre, Kiara's choice to opt for a minimal mehndi stayed in sync with her 'less is more' ensemble which worked wonders.

3. Athiya Shetty

As the first celebrity wedding of the year, we were floored by the gorgeous and loving photos of Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul. The actor and cricketer duo tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at her father and actor Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala earlier in January. Their wedding photos were followed by exuberant pre-wedding function photos. And let's just say, the actress served looks! Here are certain beauty and fashion lessons you'll definitely love from her!

Subtle Pink Chikankari Lehenga

While most bridal lehengas are made of raw silk and organza, Athiya's regal subtle pink Anamika Khanna lehenga was a wonderous mix of chikankari on silk with zardozi and jaali work. The subtle pink lehenga also features metallic colours, with a slightly burnt and old-world look. Her veil and dupatta were made of silk organza and the entire ensemble took almost 10,000 man-hours to make! Her intricated full-sleeve blouse added to the elegance of the outfit.

Soft Nude Makeup

Championing the less-is-more trend, Athiya embraced a nude and minimal glam look for her wedding day. The soft pink monochromatic makeup complemented her subtle pink lehenga which included a subtle wash of light pink eyeshadow, nude pink lips and kohl-lined eyes. Honestly, she makes a great case for muted yet statement bridal beauty which is tough to look past!

Dainty Eternity Vows Kaleeras

Yet again wowing us, Athiya donned these dainty kaleeras designed by Mrinalini Chandra. Named the 'Eternity Vows Kaleeras', the trinkets were a work of art, handcrafted by the veteran karigars of Jaipur and Lucknow. The Saptpadi wedding vows were hand etched in Sanskrit on sun motifs, immortalising them with over 50 tiny handcrafted sunflowers added to them.

Antique Double Chaandbalis

When we spotted Athiya Shetty's mehndi look, we were mesmerised by her gorgeous and huge double chaandbalis. The actress looked like a princess in her 24-kali Chikankari lehenga by Anjul Bhandari for her mehndi paired with antique double Chaandbalis from her Nani's closet and a pretty maangtikka.

4. Hansika Motwani

As one of the most talked about celebrity brides from the winter wedding season of 2022, Hansika Motwani set some major bridal goals with her ensembles. Hansika Motwani tied the knot with her beau Sohael Khaturiya in December and her wedding pictures left us awestruck with her beautiful outfits and makeup looks.

The OTT Red Lehenga

For her wedding, Hansika opted for a stunning red lehenga from Rimple and Harpreet Narula, which featured a handcrafted skirt with resham zardozi, Kashmiri tilla, dabka, nagshi, sequins, and pearls. She paired her lehenga with a stunning red blouse with intricate embellishments and threadwork, as well as two dupattas for that undeniably royal look.

Smoked Out Eyes With Nude Makeup

For her makeup, Hansika chose to go the smokey eyes, nude lips route. With bold smoked-out eyes that enhanced her striking grey eyes, she chose a glowy nude makeup look that utilised ample highlighter to accentuate her angelic features.

Sleek Braid With Gota & Paranda

Stunning as she was, Hansika took it up a notch by adopting a braid instead of a bun. Her sleek braid was decorated with gold gota patti and a paranda that went all the way down to her waist.

Statement Kaleeras

If you are a bride-to-be who swears by the mantra of ‘It's all in the details’, then you obviously can’t take your 'kaleeras' for granted. Switching from traditional and basic kaleeras, Hansika picked an unconventional kaleera that incorporated peacock motifs and domes with tassels.

Floral Haldi Outfit

For her haldi, Hansika matched the beautiful, vibrant decor of sunflowers with a dainty white sharara set that featured yellow flowers. A soft, youthful visage and floral jewellery in hues matching her outfit complemented her bridal glow. Honestly, this is a step further than wearing white on your haldi. Now, you can even opt to wear printed white outfits on your haldi!

5. Raveena Mehta

Singer Raveena Mehta's lavish wedding to her beau Saaket Mehta was definitely one for the book. With a 15-meter-long bridal veil, the two baraats that met in the middle of the venue and the customised decoration, her wedding was a stunning affair that left everyone mesmerised. And more than that was her choices as a bride that left us in awe.

Lotus Motif Mehndi

Raveena's mehndi was a full design filled with intricate patterns and lotus motifs. For brides looking to experiment, lotus motif mehndi designs are definitely the way to go! Considered as a sacred flower of the country including lotus in your bridal mehndi will make your wedding more precious than ever before.

Floral Love Story Lehenga For Mehndi

For her mehndi, Raveena Mehta wore a stunning colourful floral love story lehenga by Dimple Amrin that included embroidery of every place along with the particular year and date when the duo met during their 7-year long-distance relationship. A lot of brides have been opting for floral embroidery lehengas for their pre-wedding functions and honestly, we're all for this trend!

As young girls, we've all played dress-up games, fantasized about looking like our favourite Disney princesses and wearing those voluminous dresses with perfectly primed hair & fancy glass slippers on our big day. And singer Raveen Mehta totally embodied her dreams and looked like a princess in her silver lehenga by Dimple Amrin which she paired with diamond and ruby jewellery.

A 15 Meter Veil

Twinning in similar colour, Raveena wore a 15-meter-long veil which her sisters and cousins holding it up while walking to her rendition of 'Tere Jeya Hor Disda' while Saaket walked on from the other side of the walkway with his baraat squad.  We've seen iconic bridal veils before, but this one was even more special!
