Fun-filled Haldi Function

The Haldi ceremony of Athiya and KL Rahul was all sunshine and flowers. The decor was all lush with Marigolds hanging from the ceiling to the floor. Athiya wore a stunning off-white and golden Ritu Kumar's Elysian Anarkali paired with a garara and odhna which took 2000 man hours to make that was done by using the age-old technique of crumpling & folding the gota by hand to create these mango motifs. The hand embroidery and the gota work made her outfit look regal in its truest sense. Her makeup was kept very natural and her hair was half braid from both sides. A big and beautiful mang tikka completed Athiya's Haldi look. KL Rahul, on the other hand, wore a lovely Anamika Khanna kurta and trousers with the daintiest embroidery on them.

Intimate Mehndi Function

Athiya and KL Rahul's Mehendi ceremony was full of mirth and laughter. The decor comprised blooming bougainvillaeas, mulmul drapes and milky lights. Athiya looked like a princess in a 24-kali Chikankari lehenga by Anjul Bhandari. It was a handwoven heirloom piece made of georgette and over 39,000 Swarovski crystals. WOW! The bronze tones of her subtle makeup shined through beautifully while her antique double Chaandbalis from her Nani's closet and pretty maangtikka added to her grace. KL Rahul perfectly complimented Athiya in his finely embroidered kurta, pyjama and Nehru jacket.

Dreamy Muhurtham Ceremony

The Muhurtham of Athiya and KL Rahul were the dreamiest of all functions. It is a ceremony which marks the beginning of the wedding. The decor was fragrant with cascading Jasmine and Mogra strings all around. Athiya wore a gold handwoven tissue Kanchivaram with a lovely pink blocked pallu from Madhurya Creations. For her jewellery, she picked a magnificent choker with matching jhumkas and a royal guttapusalu necklace. Athiya's base makeup was kept natural with her blush pink lips and her graceful slick bun. With her loving mother performing the rituals and her besties right by her side, Athiya's happiness was obvious through her glorious smile.
