After months of speculation and media frenzy, Bollywood's latest 'IT' couple has finally tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony.

While the couple and their loved ones were tight-lipped when it came to sharing the wedding details, some inside details made their way to us and the media. And some of the elements of this couple's wedding have us stunned and swooning. 

For the longest time, we've looked toward Bollywood brides that not only embrace a bridal look that reflects their personality but also set some major goals for other brides. Leaving trinkets of inspiration left and right, the couple's wedding has displayed certain elements that are absolutely iconic and inspo worthy.

1. The Elegant Ivory & Gold Ensemble

Donning everyone's favourite, Sabyasachi, both Alia and Ranbir looked heavenly in their ivory and gold outfits. For the wedding ceremony, Alia Bhatt was dressed in a hand-dyed ivory organza saree embroidered with fine tilla work. Ranbir, on the other hand, wore an embroidered silk sherwani with Sabyasachi uncut diamond buttons, a silk organza safa and a shawl with zari marori embroidery.

2. Butterfly Detailing On Alia's Blouse

One of the prettiest things we spotted on the bride's ensemble was the butterfly motif embroidery in fine tilla work on Alia's blouse. While the saree and the colours are synonymous with Sabyasachi's previous work, the inclusion of butterflies in her blouse's embroidery surely looked like a unique, customised element. 

3. The Couple's Heritage Jewellery

While the couple chose a very minimal ensemble for their wedding, their jewels were all about glittering in glorious heritage work. Alia paired her outfit with Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery featuring uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls. Her bridal chooda on the other hand consisted of a mix of huge kadas and red bangles. Ranbir, similarly, completed his look with a kilangi by Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery featuring uncut diamonds, emeralds and pearls and a multistrand pearl necklace.

4. The Ethereal Kaleeras

From Khrisha Shah's silver kaleeras to Katrina Kaif's dove and red tassel kaleeras, it's all about creating iconic looks for these Bollywood brides. And this time, we were swooning over Alia's minimal, rose gold kaleeras! Designed by the amazing Mrinalini Chandra, the kaleeras can be seen dotted with elements like clouds, stars, butterflies and birds. 

5. Pairing Her Saree With A Sheer Veil

One of the biggest trends of 2022 is the saree with a veil. Many brides have embraced this trend and many are bound to keep embracing this look. For her wedding nuptials, Alia paired her ivory and gold saree with a handwoven tissue veil that had a scalloped border.

6. Baby's Breath & Jasmine Jaimalas

Jaimalas are such a vital part of any wedding ceremony. And now that we've seen various kinds jaimalas like marigolds and even foliage varmalas, we're estatic to spot these baby's breath and jasmine jaimalas worn by the couple. 

7. Lucky No. 8/ Infinity Mangasutra

Incorporating Ranbir's lucky number into her ensemble, Alia chose a beautiful and dainty mangalsutra that has the number 8, which also works as an 'infinity' pendant. 

8. Minimal Makeup & An Open Hairstyle

Probably the thing that actually took us aback was Alia's choice to go with bare minimum makeup and an open hairstyle with light waves. While this look is bound to inspire waves of future brides, we're not really shocked by Alia's choice of makeup and hair for she had always been a person who enjoys minimal makeup looks. 

9. The 3-Tier Floral Wedding Cake

Never did we ever expect this celebrity wedding's celebratory cake to be such a minimal and rustic delight! This three-tiered goodness was frosted with delicious frosting and decorated with dried flowers and leaves. 

10. Ranbir Carrying Alia Bridal Style!

Now to conclude this blog, we'd like to add a moment that really won us over. When the couple stepped out as man and wife for the first time in front of the media outside their venue, Ranbir scooped Alia up in his arms and carried her back into the wedding venue bridal style with the most joyous and quirky smiles on both their faces. Honestly ladies, get yourself a man who carries your bridal style!
