“So, there comes a time in your life when you look back at your life and see; the guy that you are and the man that you always wanted to be!” The exact letters and words by Anant still echo in my head. Its been a few years to my wedding and the charm is still at the summit. We still chide, interfere and intervene in each other’s lives but the moment something urges to the peak, I silently walk out of the conversation to get my wedding album, looking how charismatic we looked in our wedding. This is the magic created by Anant and his team Pik-a-Shoot, a bunch of relationship makers I would call. I still don’t understand how you are running this company, mate; still on a no-revenue model? Lol. I never got to understand his business ideology for he was never here to do business, always to build the perfect rapport with the client(s), he is ever-ready to take in whatever life throws at him. So, a perfect bright sunny day and I get a call from my friend recommending the team to cover my almost upcoming wedding. Well, I had my wedding photographers booked by then and they were in the field for quite some time. Anant had a team but they were inexperienced (among the year-count). I still took a risk of adding a team; I made it a point to pay them less for the experience I was exposing them to. To my utter surprise; they gave me the whole wedding free (only pictures). The only thing they demanded was travel and food to which I summoned. Then, the day of my wedding and I get a call from my previously hired team to have been delayed in flights. Well, the first instant, I barged and barked my lungs off and the lot of helplessness that swarmed in, it knew no bounds. But then, my memory called in blunt, I had another team and did I not bless my friend for the reference. I called them. Surprised me again, they were already in the venue and were setting the gear up. Please note, this is the first time I meet Anant and he is gracious, elegant and humble as a royal elephant would be (he is huge as well). So, with minutes and moments to bigger days, I trusted the novice team with my life. I did not have a second window to escape. His team, a band of 3 to cover us with pictures only; that seemed okay for the moment. My previously booked team, still missing key things, I made it a point to run blind and have faith. I let Anant do what he knew best, did not intervene or interfere. He told me one little thing, “Trust me for we know what we are doing”. I still did not litter down the panic mode I was on. That angered me but his wise face gave me a reassurance to hope for a better output. I knew cameras and lenses and man, he had an arsenal of ‘em. That kept me a little less worried. Well, this was sorted. 2 days, covered with my team barging in, sweating like a pig on the 2nd half of the first day. A sigh of relief on the day of my wedding. Soon, everything wrapped up normal and I was at ease; breathing in normally, calm, composed and the hero of my princess. So, we take off for Amsterdam and forget the mess we had. We had a lot of fun. The day of our return, Sneha (my beloved) calls me and explains her excitement about the pictures of their wedding. Oh My! My memory hits back again. The mess we went through. The nervousness racking in and bleeding in form of sweat. I call my team and they have the pictures ready. I still had not called Anant or his team. About to board my flight, a whatsapp ping drops in, a drive link. Anant had things sorted and delivered within #8 days of shooting. They were pictures only and needless to explain, they blew everyone in the flight. The excitement I was running around with, my wife almost screaming for having covered her in some completely-funny moments. Well, to talk about the quality, you will have to see them to believe it. The sharpness, emotions every picture ran with, they bestowed me with gracefulness and an emotion-spanned life. Still 3 hours to land, I have things mugged to say to Anant. The landing was hectic and with politicians swarming in, it was messy in the airport. I forgot to call him. I reached home, had a good bath and doorbell rings; someone had ordered me a huge flat book parcel. It read, “With best compliments and regards, team Pik-a-Shoot”. Mesmerized and awe-struck again, this was something I had never experienced. I called Anant immediately and they wanted us to scroll to the last page. They had a short story inscribed in the last few pages that depicted my short and sweet relationship with Sneha. That’s when I figured out, the team can write, shoot, dance, sing, and create so much importance that none can match. The team had become an integral part in the family and since then, Anant and I are very good friends. Ramesh, I owe you a lot; the last minute recommendation that came through and the quality of the deliverables provided, they just blew everyone insane, in and out the family.

After meeting the woman I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with, I knew I had to really start caring about photographs. She’s such a poser. So, for the big day, we zeroed in on Pik-a-shoot. There were such beautiful candids that I never got a chance to look awkward. And boy! Could I have made my wife happier? She looked stunning. It was like the best wedding gift I could have given to her.

Review for - Pik-a-Shoot
My wife’s friend in India had recommended that we hire Pik-a-shoot for our big fat Indian wedding. Not that such a dazzling event could have looked any less vibrant when photographed otherwise, but if I’m sitting here writing how beautifully these guys captured us, they’ve got to be special. Keep up the great work, guys
