When Butter Chicken meets Appam.. you know you’ve just got the right mix of spices in your life!

This is the story of how a Punjabi girl met a Malayali boy and decided to spend their lives with each other, forever. Yogeeta met Alwin while they were pursuing their Master's in architecture. And after a farewell party, they started spending time with each other. But due to the lockdown, there came an uncertainty of not meeting each other often. The bride describes, “We used to talk daily on video calls for a year. Right after that, I had invited him to my sister’s wedding for which he came to Delhi and spoke to my parents and asked to marry me.. and then there was no looking back. It was a pure Rab ne Banadi Jodi!”

Yogeeta also says how their journey was surely a rollercoaster but it was all worth it. They had two weddings in two different cultural ways. One was a Punjabi wedding on a cruise ship and the other was a Christian wedding.

Cruise Wedding

The couple planned their Punjabi Wedding on a luxury cruise ship in Kerala. In the presence of close friends and family members, the couple exchanged varmalas. They had a minimal mandap decor with flowers and drapes. The bride wore a coral-pink-hued lehenga with a ruffled dupatta. We loved the dramatic sleeves of the blouse. Alwin went for a simple kurta pyjama with an ivory jacket. We also spotted comedian Abhish Mathew at the wedding. 

Christian Wedding

Yogeeta Bhandari & Alwin Sunny also had an Intimate Christian wedding at Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Kerala. The lantern decor was a pleasure for the eyes. Our Punjabi Bride glammed up in a white custom-made lacy gown. The bridesmaids coordinated in maroon dresses. Alwin looked sharp and smart in a black tuxedo.
