Hindu weddings simply mean to follow a dozen of rituals at an Indian wedding. Just like our Indian rituals, our society has also made some gender stereotypes that are still following in weddings from time immemorial. For instance, a man has to be strong and a girl has to be fragile. The irony of the situation here is that many of us still believe and follow certain rituals without knowing the facts behind it, which we might not need to follow.

Today, we have brought you some fearless couples who did not care about the society and shattered the gender norms like a boss. Take some inspiration for your wedding and surprise your guests with these hatke ideas for your wedding. So, without further ado, let’s see what valiant thing these couples did on their D-day!

1. Manarkali For Men

Yes, you read that right. This groom ditched the cliché sherwani and kurta and decked up in this yellow manarkali for his Mehendi ceremony. And boy, he looked dapper. To add sheer grace, the groom opted for a white dupatta.

If you are still not convinced to wear a manarkali for your wedding functions, here is Ranveer Singh wearing a stunning Sabyasachi manarkali for his own Mehendi. And, girls we LOVED his outfit!

2. Bride On Knees

Gone are the days when boys used to go on one knee to propose his bride-to-be. This bold bride put the rock on her to-be husband's finger by going on a knee. We are stealing this idea from her. Would you do the same on your special day? 💍

3. Full Hand Groom's Mehendi

We spotted this groom who is giving full competition to his bride's Mehendi. We have never seen such beautiful Mehendi on any groom's hand. From floral motifs to Swastik design, this groom's Mehendi is better than most of the brides we have ever seen.

Or, how about this groom who wore a pretty sea-green manarkali and thought to go little Hatke with his intricate mehndi design!

4. Bachelorette Party For Grooms

We earlier told you about this groom who recreated his bride's bachelorette photos. Instead of having a grand bash, the groom did all the things that any bride would do on her bachelorette party. Aren't these pictures super cute? 🥂

5. Groom Touching His Bride's Feet

As we all know that there is a ritual in Hindu weddings where the bride is expected to touch her husband's feet after the pheras. But giving each other mutual respect the influencer Diipa Khosla's husband touched her feet and melted our heart. Dear God, can we also get a husband like this? :D

6. Grand Bridal Entry On A Horse

After seeing this picture, there is only one thought in our mind: Why should boys have all the fun? These brides ditched phoolon ki chaadar on their bridal entry and entered on a horse. She also matched her velvet lehenga with the horse's clothes!

We also spotted this bride who entered on a horse and had so much fun on her Baraat! Do you think we are kidding? See it yourself... 😜
