Bollywood's most celebrated couple, Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt tied the knot on the 14th of April and the celebration was nothing short of an ethereal dream. The couple's nuptials and pre-wedding celebrations were held at the Kapoor's Vastu residence in Bandra, Mumbai. While the bride and groom looked dreamy during their wedding nuptials, their mehendi pictures just hit the internet and let's just say they look adorable!

Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor's Fun-filled Mehendi Ceremony

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's picture montage is the definition of bliss. While sharing the images on Instagram, Alia Bhatt talked about the vibe of the celebration and expressed how it felt, "The Mehendi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a LOT of French fries, a surprise performance by the ladkewalas, Ayan playing DJ, a BIG surprise organised by Mr Kapoor (my favourite artist performed my favourite songs), all followed by some happy tears and quiet, blissful moments with the love of my life. There are days… and then there are days like these! 💕♾"

Alia Bhatt was spotted in a stunning fuchsia pink custom made lehenga with a sustainable approach, inscribed with Kashmiri and Chikankari threads, by Manish Malhotra. Describing the lehenga as the result of the passionate 3000- hour intricate handwork of Mijwan women, Malhotra talked about how the customised lehenga was symbolic of the starlet's journey. The blouse was embellished in real gold and silk nakshi and kora flowers with vintage gold metal sequins from Kutchh.

The designer also added that the approximately 180 textiles patches seen on the ensemble were woven together using a couture technique of cross-stitches with three tar and six tar anchors. Edged in real gold zari and appliques, this handwoven silk ensemble also carried Banarasi brocades, jacquard, bandhani, Kaccha Resham knot and some scraps from the bride's earlier outfits and details. And, not to forget the fresh floral corsages by Floral Art by Srishti that looked cute on Alia Bhatt.

Ranbir Kapoor, similarly, matched his bride's colours and wore an elegant yet simple ethnic bright pink Kurta-pyjama with a Nehru jacket by Sabyasachi.

The couple is seen lost in love as they hugged each other. Plus, we're also given glimpses of moments where the wedding brigade was dancing their hearts out and another special moment with Ranbir Kapoor holding a picture of his late father, Rishi Kapoor.

For her mehendi, Alia chose a simple mehendi design with mandalas on both her hands and intricate jaali work on her fingers. Furthermore, the groom one upped everyone with his adorable action of getting Alia's name, encased in a heart, tattooed on his hand with mehendi!

The afternoon mehendi celebration that took place on the 13th of April was a traditional affair lined with family performances, female dhol players and a dholki crew that ensured that everyone grooved to their desi beats. Reports say that the event was marked by performances on hit tracks like 'Mehendi Hai Rachnewali', 'Dholida', ' Cutiepie' and 'Tenu Leke Main Jawanga'. The performances were choreographed by the Kapoor family's favourite, Rajendra Singh, fondly known as Rajendra Masterji who has Choreographed the wedding of almost all well-known superstars- Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan, Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Sonam Kapoor.
