Well, Kanchan and Chinmay’s love story left us instantly in awe when we first read about them. This duo started dating back in 2018 and since the first moment, both Kanchan and Chinmay knew they were gonna be partners. After being together for almost a year, their parents got them engaged in December 2019 with the wedding bells set for 26th April 2020. Check out their beautiful #intimatewedding where our bride looked stunning in a red saree with minimal gold jewellery on point.
Just like a thousand other couples whose wedding plans were in jeopardy due to the on-going pandemic, this couple too had to let go of the original set date 26th April 2020. That’s when Kanchan and Chinmay decided to postpone their wedding until after the lockdown got over. Until 25th April 2020, they were sure that their wedding wouldn’t take place on 26th April but that same day, Chinmay’s sister out of nowhere decided to convince every family member to have the wedding on the original date as after this she wouldn’t have been able to fly to Raipur (as she was based out of Mumbai) and she couldn’t dream of missing her only brother’s wedding. So, everybody agreed and by noon it was fixed that Kanchan and Chinmay are indeed getting married on the same date as initially planned.
Our duo was completely in shock but they said, "What’s meant to be will always find it’s a way!"
This lockdown wedding took place at Kanchan’s house in Raipur in the presence of their family and friends on a zoom call. Both the bride and groom had a marvellous time and they enjoyed every single second of their most special day.
Kanchan was ecstatic and said, "What could have been better than getting married at the same place where I was born and brought up!"
She added, "I wore my mom's ghagra, which she bought for herself for my wedding and that was purchased from Nikhar, Jaipur. And, similarly, I bought a Ghatchola Saari from Aati Taari, Jaipur that is pure love for any bride. This combination was done because I didn't receive my wedding ghagra (the lockdown effect!) and had to steal my mom's attire. For the jewellery, since we couldn't purchase due to lockdown, I was blessed to wear the same jewellery which my mom wore on her wedding day. I look like my mom, wore my mom's dress and jewellery and see how blessed I am!"
