It goes without saying that getting hitched is one of the most important days for both the groom and the bride so naturally when the corona wave hit India, a lot of couples had to resort to postponing their D-day for the foreseeable future. However, we’d like to introduce Smriti and Siddharth who said, "don't postpone your wedding due to restrictions because in the end love is all that matters and an intimate wedding would be your best memory."

So, check out this beautiful wedding of the twosome, which was captured perfectly by Lovers Films

Introducing Smriti & Siddharth’s Intimate Wedding

As fate had it, this couple duo crossed paths at a common friend’s birthday a few months back and hit it off right from the beginning. Then, after getting to know each other better and seeing each other regularly, they decided to put a ring on their relationship and tie the knot. Our bride of the day Smriti said, "all in the blink of an eye!"

Initially, this couple was all set to get married on 2nd May ‘20 but seeing the COVID-19 situation not getting any better, both had decided to postpone their big day. But, here’s where the story gets interesting; both the groom and the bride’s fathers secretly went to a pandit and the next auspicious date came out to be the 6th of May for their sweet and simple #intimatewedding. Both then headed home spilled the beans to everyone just to find them all in awe.

Then came the next big task on hand. Planning the intimate wedding of Smriti and Siddharth in the next 3 to 4 days that was fun-filled with emotions and cute moments.

So how difficult is it to plan an intimate wedding, you ask? Well, in this couple’s case, it was super difficult cos of numerous reasons. For starters, Smriti’s family had to shift to a new house (which was due to the lockdown) amidst all the wedding planning. Next came the task of booking a photographer, picking a safe caterer, finalizing outfits, and finding a makeup artist; all of which seemed haywire at first but soon all the puzzle pieces started fitting perfectly together.

With all the right precautions like taking permission from government officials, inviting just 30 guests, sanitizing the whole house, and keeping an abundant number of masks and sanitizers, Smriti and Siddharth finally got their happily ever after on 6th May 2020. They had all their nearest and dearest in that house and the ones who unfortunately couldn’t be physically present showered their blessings on this couple virtually.

Oh, and about having a grand celebration, Smriti said, "Definitely, we will be planning a grand celebration wherein we can invite our friends and relatives who could not be a part of our big day, but this time we hope it happens without any masks in the picture!"
