Ever wondered what makes a wedding all lively, spirited and such a heart-warming celebration? Well, of course, the decor, the delectable food and games are an integral aspect of what makes a wedding so vivacious. But, what actually sets the tone for the entire celebration is the sheer love and happiness pouring out from everybody's hearts. It is everybody coming together to rejoice in these moments of what we call love. It is all that love and affection of the families that went into putting together this heavenly union of two hearts in the most heartwarming way.
And such is Viraj & Gopika's wedding brimming with love that knows no bounds, joy that's unconditional, and the heartfelt efforts of Gopika's maasis (Mother's sisters) Rohini & Radhika who planned the entire wedding personally with everything perfectly on point. Right from phenomenally mixing in Viraj and Gopika's different ideas of a wedding to the decor, the food and the aesthetics the couple desired, it was exactly the fairytale wedding that Gopika always wanted.
Hosted at the plush property of Hotel Vista, Gurgaon, with everything executed splendidly by Rustling Leaves, this wedding's quintessential charm and aura is beyond excellence. While we're still at a loss of words that can justify this dream of a wedding, Simran from Beginnings For You yet again was at her best with her lens and no wonder the photos absolutely encapsulate this wedding's magical charisma.
Hold your breaths and hearts for the wedding that you'd be going through right now is unquestionably gonna have you bewitched!
Set in the hues of reds, maroons and golds, the Sangeet ceremony was an 'all floral decor' affair. Be it the stage, the bar, the huge table centerpieces, or the quirky corners and setups, every setup was decked up with floral arrangements done with dried flowers, ferns, foliage, and flowers in abundance. And of course, further amped up with the perfect lighting. Hearty performances, scrumptious food spread and loads of dancing marked this classy affair.
For the ceremony both Gopika and Viraj coordinated in royal hues of navy blue. While Viraj wore a quilted achkan with a stylish stole in velvet, Gopika slipped into a stunning Cinderella gown with sequined embroideries. Dainty diamond jewels, a low bun, shimmery eyes and a red lip completed her look mesmerizingly.
A rather intimate ceremony, this function was all fun and frolic where nobody could stop adoring Gopika's happiness and joy. Donning a beauteous sequin embroidered lehenga in eggplant color with a pretty embellished yellow dupatta, Gopika looked super charming. Purple eyelids, pale pink lip, open wavy tresses and a stunning pair of earrings perfectly complemented her mehndi etched hands laden with kaleeras and red chooda.
Gopika always wanted a fairytale wedding. "I wanted it to be magical, beautiful, peachy. I like Peachy though. Life should be peachy" she declares. And that's exactly how the wedding ceremony was; with droolworthy elements aplenty. To begin with, the decor for the day was a super peachy and super floral heaven on Earth under the vast open skies. Be it the tablescapes, the centerpieces, the mandaps or the pandals, every peachy decor element was further beautified with pristine white, peach & yellow flowers and lush greens.
For the wedding, Viraj teamed his ivory printed Sherwani with a salmon pink Banarasi silk safa looking all crisp and debonair. Gopika, on the other hand wore a dual-hued velvet lehenga in the shades of lavender & pink progressing to wine. Decked up in a striking kundan choker set drawn from her grandma's trove, and subtle makeup with smokey eyes, she looked radiant in her bridal aura.
What next stole our hearts was the jaimala that Radhika maasi wrote and sang for Gopika and it was to this song that Gopika made her heavenly bridal entry on—a bridal entry that we couldn't take our eyes off. Well, taking the umbrella phoolon ki chaadar a notch above, Gopika's had a 14-ft long veil attached to her umbrella which her bridesmaids held behind her. She walked down the aisle with her twin brother under that mystical veil umbrella and took our breaths away.
