Such is the wedding of Priyanka and Neal the wedding elements of which were highly inspired by our blogs as the bride shared.

This Udaipur wedding hosted at the Ananta Resort and Spa was the perfect riot of colours, tradition, class and extravagance. Knit to perfection with all the aspects that the couple so heartily desired, this joyous wedding is brimming with pretty decor elements, sartorial outfit choices and love that'll engulf you.

With each ceremony keeping up with its aesthetic quintessence while exuding whiffs of modernism, the entire two-day wedding soiree was phenomenally planned and executed by the team of Silver Craft Events. So much so, that even the food menu was brimming with options matching up with the theme along with the general food spread. For instance, the mehndi had a chaat station, the Sufi Soiree had a dedicated Mughlai & Hyderabadi food corner, the rustic lunch was more of Italian & Mexican and the wedding boasted of Rajasthani food.

The Vibrant and Happy Wedding Celebrations of Priyanka & Neal

Rang Rasiya Mehndi

A fiesty mehndi ceremony drenched in vivid hues and quirky elemental decor phenomenally commenced the celebrations with happy and vivacious cheer. Themed Rang Rasiya, the decor was a blast of colours. While colorful drapes, rustic wreath seating, printed dance floor and colourful seating lounges made up for the decor, what marked the entire venue were the quirky hangings. Floral garlands, beaded strings, dreamcatchers, tasseled hangings, cascading bells, pompom chandeliers—it was a colour shower throughout. Mehndi artists, fun activities and games, chaat vendor especially called in from Agra and ghoomar dancers were some of the ways that kept the guests indulged and entertained during the ceremony.

For the ceremony, Neal & Priyanka both coordinated their outfits in unique hues of teal. Neal donned a white diagonal hemmed kurta-pyjama with a stunning Nehru jacket by Deval and Nautanky. Whereas, Priyanka wore a teal peplum blouse with a yellow skirt. She further teamed up her look with dreamy yellow and green floral jewellery, half-tied hairstyle and a pink lip!

Sufi Soiree

While planning their wedding, Priyanka was sure she didn't want a traditional sangeet ceremony and hence, chose this unique way of celebrating and enjoying with everyone. For this Sufi themed night, they had Ankit Batra and his entourage grace the ceremony and perform for the guests. While the couple and their families had planned their performances in between the gig to break the monotony, the evening was a witness to a merry drink and dance galore.

A floral and lamp-lit ceiling marked the surreal venue entrance while floral arrangements, drapes, and fairy lights highlighted the decor gleamingly. Priyanka looked resplendent in a muted ivory Faabiiana skirt and top ensemble paired up with a strikingly embroidered cape adding that bling. With wavy tresses, a passa and stunning jewels, her look was all about the glitz and glam. Neal, on the other hand, looked crisp in a side-cowled grey achkan by Kora.

The Haldi

The day two began with Priyanka's intimate haldi ceremony for which she wore a beautifully embroidered powder lehenga skirt teaming it up with a fuscia pink blouse and an orange dupatta to complement the skirt embroideries. With simplistic elegant jewellery and just a pink bindi, she looked effortlessly gorgeous and haldi ready!

Rustic Lunch

This casual chiller kinda affair was planned simply so that all the guests could interact and socialize with each other with no ceremony to perform and no need to deck up in all the heavy clothes and jewellery. The event was planned around rustic theme set around the tones of white and yellow with the dress code as 'smart casuals'. Wooden bar, cascading cages, lamps, dreamcatchers, use of florals and foliage, and a floral backdrop seating defined the entire decor for the day.

For this subtle affair, Neal wore his suit from Deval in hues of navy, wine and beige. Whereas, Priyanka slipped into an indo-western outfit. She wore a marsala shirt with a white floral printed skirt and a multi-stringed ivory neckpiece. She had her hair tied in a side-swept braid with a pretty floral & pearl accessory crowning her hairdo.

The Wedding

The wedding ceremony was a super chirpy and joyous affair. The brides connote," For me, the vibe I desired to have during the pheras was that of purity, tradition and emotions. The pheras took place in an amphitheatre set up with the Aravalli hills in the background and a touch of gold and red in the decor. I entered under a phoolon ki chaadar along with my father, brother-in-law and my cousin brothers followed by my entire bride squad who walked behind me to give me away. It was surreal and yet, I couldn't stop smiling throughout the entire ceremony. The wedding dinner was in an outdoor lawn which had a starry vibe to it because I wanted a night dinner with myriad lights and round tables."

For the wedding, Priyanka looked radiant in a rani pink embellished lehenga from Faabiiana paired with a blush pink dupatta done in sequined embroideries. A mesmerizing bangle set, emerald and polki choker jewellery set and a multi-stringed raani haar made up for her spectacular jewels. Light golden eyelids, flushed cheeks and a bright pink lip completed her look flawlessly.

Neal looked like a true prince charming in a sequin embroidered beige sherwani from Shyamal and Bhumika, a velvet maroon stole and a matching safa. Together they looked all royal and charismatic making it difficult for us to take our eyes off them!

About Priyanka & Neal

Priyanka and Neal are not just 'opposite attracts' in terms of personalities but also, because they come from entirely different parts of the country. Neal is from Vadodara and Priyanka is from Chennai and while both of them are Gujaratis, their cultures differ significantly as she is half South Indian by heart and love that.

While Neal was working in US and Priyanka in Mumbai, both of them met in Vadodara two years ago through mutual family friends while they both were vacationing there. Keeping it subtle for then, they later connected with each other digitally and started dating. They met every few months and he later proposed to her while they were on a holiday in Sri Lanka. After a year and a half of courtship, they finally decided to take the plunge.

Experience with the Vendors

I was very fortunate to work with everyone who understood my personality well and worked with me on every aspect to make this wedding beautiful. You can plan and plan but it doesn't matter if your vendors don't deliver. I had spent some time with almost all of them and had been very extensive with my explanations so they would understand as much as possible over calls. Kudos to everyone I worked with because had even one of the teams defaulted, my wedding wouldn't be as perfect and beautiful.
