When they say that true and unconditional love doesn't really exist anymore, half of the people end up seconding it and the other half disagreeing. But, amidst all those debates and banters, comes along that one couple that restores our faith in the old school love that knows no boundaries & conditions. That one couple whose story is as surreal as dreams yet as true and real as it could get. And such is the story of Yasha & Kunal who not just fell and stayed in a dreamy love but also, got married in an equally magical and effervescent way.

Hosted at the Nahargarh Palace, Ranthambore, Yasha and Kunal's wedding was a happy and joyous celebration of their love in a super zesty and royal way. Planned by their relative, the owner of Pugmark Resorts, with the decor taken care of by the local vendors, the wedding was a splendidly plush affair which was captured by the team of Event Graphia with equal quintessence.

What marked this wedding with an absolutely adorable personal element was how the bride coordinated her outfits for all the functions with her mommy darling. Yes! They slipped into coordinated outfits and we believe that this is the mushiest of ideas to make your mommy feel extra special on your wedding.

Well, enough said! We can't wait to take you through this gorgeous wedding already. So, let's roll right into this spectacular extravaganza!

Lively & Joyous Wedding of Yasha & Kunal

The Upbeat Welcome Mixer

After hosting a chowki in Delhi, the troupe moved to Ranthambore for the extravagant wedding celebrations. After a casual, more personal kinda mehndi on the first day, the celebrations began with upbeat dhols, delectable food and loads of beer with a welcome mixer the next day when mosts of the guests arrived. For this chiller welcome, Kunal paired his white shirt and khakhi trousers with a scintillating blue stylish nehru jacket. For that matter, Kunal' outfits for all the ceremonies were by Riyaz Gangji. Yasha, on the other hand, slipped into an easy peacock green top and skirt ensemble from Ridhi Arora. She let her gorgeous hair loose and accessorised her look with just a pair of earrings.

All LIT Sagan & Sangeet Night

The welcome mixer was later followed by the sagan and sangeet ceremony in the evening at the palace's unique circular venue called Bageechi. Working around the shape of the venue and hovering trees to their advantage, the decor was done breathtakingly. With a beauteous stage setting in white and gold in the corner, chairs and colorful seatings encompassing the entire area, decked up trees, and LIT rustic photobooth, the decor for the evening was spellbinding. Making the entire venue look more magical and warm was the extensive use of paper lanterns and fairy lights. After the couple exchanged their glamorous rings, they took the stage with their families and set it on fire with amazing performances.

For the night, Kunal wore a classic black bandhgala suit by Riyaz Gangji while Yasha suited herself with an Astha Narang powder blue belted lehenga replete with sequined motifs. She left her hair loose while stunning polki earrings & maang-tikka, smokey shimmery eyes and a pale lip completed her look elegantly.

Zesty Haldi-Chooda Ceremony

Held in the lush lawns of the palace called Chaar Bagh, the haldi and chooda ceremony was a Rajasthani themed one. Right from the decor to the outfits and food, everything was cenetered around the theme making it a well-knit and well-synced affair. Colors like yellow, orange, pink, blue and green marked the decor making the celebration a super vibrant and zesty affair. Colorful table settings, bandhani drapes, dreamcatchers, quirky hanging elements and exquisite use of marigold flowers made up for the entire decor space.

For the haldi, while Kunal chose a rust and white kurt pyjama with a floral printed blue nehru jacket & matching shoes, Yasha decided to get drenched in vivid hues of yellow in a stunning embroidered ensemble by Astha Narang. With her hair in a half-tied style, she ornamented herself with huge gold bangles and waterfall earrings. As simply dolled up as she looked, she shone in her radiance like no other.

For her chooda, Yasha changed into a pretty Shyam Narayan Prasad one shoulder yellow lehenga with fine work and a scalloped dupatta.

The Extravagant & Royal Wedding

The grand wedding took place at the palace's Hathi Kund, a multi level courtyard in white marble with elephant sculptures and a water pond right in the centre. Decked up in hues of red and white, the mandap was beautifully done in red drapes, colorful blooms and a lit cascading floral ceiling. The entire space was adorned with fairylights, miniature glass candles and and antique red candelabras. The couple decided to skin the stage for that matter since they wanted to spend time and mingle around with everyone present there. How adorable, isn't it?!

The couple looked all royal and dazzling together for their wedding. While Kunal donned a seafoam green sherwani with gold accents looking all dapper and class apart, Yasha looked charming as ever. Mesmerizing us in a blush pink heavily embellished belted lehenga from Payal Keyal, she left us all smitten. Be it her polki & pearl jewellery set, her oversized passa, the tassles at the sleeves, her floral bun or her dark shimmery eyes, every single element of her bridal look was on point lending her princessy vibes. Not to forget how her bridal bouquet ended up being the perfect accessory to up her look further!

Their Tale of Love

Yasha & Kunal's journey started back in their first year of college which later turned into a long distance relationship during their MBAs. After 8 long years of dating, supporting and being there for each other, they happiy decided to take a plunge. Spilling the beans about themselves further, the bride connotes:

"For starters, we are in long distance marriage and proudly so. In fact, all our wedding planning, from outfits to makeup to décor, everything was entirely on Facetime and we enjoyed every bit of it! Kunal is an M&A consultant currently based out of Mumbai, while, I am a Banker moving across APAC, changing my base every 6 months for now. We both landed in Delhi only 4 days before our Wedding and I ran through all outfit trials, alterations and fittings in a single day! I love the way Kunal supports me through my career aspirations and had no qualms with me flying back the next day of our wedding (had a critical conference I couldn’t miss). In fact, we took our missed honeymoon and the ‘long distance’ phase to now meeting in a new country for a ‘mini honeymoon’ every 6 weeks until our first anniversary knocks at the door!"

Couple's Experience With the Vendors

For a perfect wedding, the bride recommends going with your gut! Narrating their own experience she says,

"The challenge of planning a wedding away from the venue and that too one that isn’t commonly taught us to trust our instincts. We faced our ups and downs in terms of the planner as the suggestion we received and reluctantly went ahead with initially didn’t match our wavelength. In the end, we decided to trust ourselves and involved a local resort owner in Ranthambore (our relative) and went via local décor vendors with his coordination. We are extremely thankful to him for stepping in and helping out as local vendors ended up selecting each prop as per our preference and respected our taste!

Regarding the other vendors, we went with ones known to us for e.g., the photographer (our undergrad institute’s junior’s startup) and MUA, our go-to artist across events in the past. That helped us to not have the need for ‘tests’ and ‘demos’ as time and distance did not give us the liberty for that."
