A Sikh-Marathi Wedding with a high-on-spirit Bride & Fresh Decor Ideas

Rajas and Harman’s wedding was one cultural extravaganza with an intermix of both the Punjabi and Marathi rituals and ceremonies celebrated with equal blithe and joy.

Almost all of the functions were hosted at Harman’s warm and plush residence and the planners outstandingly curated this gorgeous wedding. From giving the contemporary edge to the traditional elements and presenting a pool of fresh and peppy decor ideas, team Baraati Inc are sure shot the masters of their trade.

The Wedding Ceremonies

Jaggo Night

The wedding revelries started on a kickass note with a super cheerful and dancy jaggo night. With multi-hued drapes, lights, vibrant umbrellas, decorated wheels and hanging floral thread tassels, the decor brilliantly added that fun zest to this traditional ceremony. Unstoppable dhols, abundant joy, heartfelt merrymaking and loads of colors is what describes this couple’s Jaggo perfectly. Rajas in a bottle green pathani suit by Vicky Man & Harman in a bright tangerine & electric pink lehenga by Swati Ubroi looked like a typical punjabi couple.

The Haldi

The next morning was an intimate and a fun-filled haldi ceremony with laughter, flower showers and everything exactly how it is supposed to be. (Though that doggo getting his share of flower shower is the highlight, isn’t it?)

What stood out uniquely was Rajas’s typical marathi style haldi ceremony with as much joy, happily beaming hearts and crazy fun times. (just look at the pictures)

The Mehndi Sundowner (with a plethora of steal-worthy decor ideas)

For how the house was gorgeously decorated in uber vibrant hues for the mehndi sundowner, the planners made sure to bring out the true effervescence of a mehndi ceremony. From colorful drapes and quirky corners & elements in vivid hues to cool signages, props and hanging decor for bar the mehndi ceremony was undoubtedly one helluva spirited celebration. While Harman kept up with the decor in a mustard yellow & pink Anushree Reddy lehenga, Rajas kept it subtle in an ivory and powder blue bandhgala set by Anita Dongre. (And oh, how can we forget that satiating and gorgeous looking candy & dessert spread!)

The Dazzling Sangeet Night

Following the mehndi, Rajas and Harman’s sangeet night gave us some serious starry feels. With sequinned and shimmery cascading elemental decor, plenty of performances by the couple and their families together and Suryaveer being the fire that he is on stage, the sangeet was one dazzling and hep party to remember. For her sangeet, Harman opted for a red fully embroidered Anamika Khanna lehenga while Rajas wore a simple black tux by Vicky Man. 

Chooda Ceremony

Contrasting the artistic floral branched backdrop adorned with sunflowers, Harman looked strikingly radiant as ever in her ruby pink Sabyasachi sharara for her chooda ceremony. (Look at those gorgeous pearl and pom-pom kaleeras tho!)

Anand Karaj

For the anand karaj the house’s lawn was completely transformed into a pink and white fantasy wonderland. The decor for their D-day done completely in flowers, drapes and ribbons in varied hues of whites and pinks screamed of surrealism. Adding more charm to the mystical aura created by the decor were the couple’s outfits perfectly coordinating with the decor. Rajas opted for a statement Sabyasachi ivory sherwani with subtle floral detailing. Harman complimented Rajas just rightly by wearing a vibrant pink ensemble by one of the best Indian couturiers, Anita Dongre. (just look how class apart the couple looks amidst that super dreamy decor!)

The Marathi Style Pheras

Later in the evening the couple took the pheras in marathi style under a mandap setting with bespoke suspended white floral adornments.
