If you’re familiar with Punjabi weddings, then you’re also familiar with some of their wedding traditions such as the “Jago” night. For those unfamiliar with this function, “Jago” night is a ritual that involves the groom and bride, in their respective homes, staying up all night and dancing and singing. There’s also a tradition of the bride carrying a vessel on top of her head which has clay lamps inside them. The Punjabi brides love dressing up and going all out on the occasion.
So if you are a Punjabi bride all set to tie the knot and have a Jago night as one of the celebratory functions, then scroll below and take inspiration from these real brides who donned some gorgeous outfits on their respective Jago nights!
Well, the good thing about this function is that you do not need to stick to a specific colour or silhouette. We recommend opting for a nice blue outfit that will look stunning whether you opt for a printed sharara or an embellished suit.

Pink is one of those versatile colours that look exceptionally beautiful in Indian wear. Whether you opt for a lovely pastel pink or a bold magenta, if put in a chic silhouette like a sharara or suit will look so good.
Ah, and if you opt for a parandi hairstyle with that, then you’re going to look like a million bucks on your wedding function!
Is there even a colour as traditional as red for a bride? I mean let’s face it that till there’s not a splash of this hue, it doesn’t feel quite right. That’s why we recommend going with a red Jago night outfit just like these real brides are standing out at their functions!
