This Bride Ditched Her Lehenga & Wore A Pantsuit With A Veil On Her D-day!

We can list numerous options for you to-be-brides when it comes to the wedding outfit but none of our options has ever had a pantsuit for the wedding day in it. And why would they? We had never spotted a single person dressed in a pant-suit until the famous entrepreneur Sanjana Rishi donned an unprecedented outfit for her intimate wedding.

About her iconic wedding outfit, Sanjana says, "Who says bridal looks have to fit a mould, cultural or otherwise? The only thing a look must fit (other than your body) is your personality! I wanted to choose a wedding outfit that encapsulated my style but also stayed true to my commitment to supporting sustainability, local artisans and ethical shopping. I think I did great cos it's all about the unprecedented vibes!"

Honestly, how often have we seen brides in lehengas or shararas or even in a saree on the wedding day? I’d say all the time but this is the first time when we have spotted a bride wearing something she’s absolutely comfortable in and in which she is true to her personality. 

Sanjana may have picked an unconventional outfit however, there are tons of traditional things happening like for something borrowed, the beautiful bride wore her best friends’ mom’s bustier (which btw Sanjana frantically hand-dyed the night before the wedding using old coffee!)

For something old, the bride had earrings (which she had stolen long back from her friend). Also, for something new, (this is super exciting) Sanjana got her stunning jewellery (which was put together by Anu Merton and talented artisans in just four days) and a custom made-to-order #veilpatta by Torani.

And of course, for something blue, as Sanjana likes to say, "The beyond gorgeous pre-owned #GianfrancoFerre powder blue pantsuit is of my dreams! In fact, I am never going to get over how I look and feel in this outfit!"
