"The beauty of the Sari lies in its humility. A graceful piece of yardage that lends itself to be morphed into different kinds of drapes, finally taking the shape of the wearer", the ace couturier Amit Aggarwal while so poetically quotes this for Grazia Magazine, we couldn't disagree with him.

Being one of the oldest garment to stem from our traditional past, Saree is way more than just those nine yards of elegance we believe. It is rather an emotion that connects us all to our Indian roots. It is not just a surreal expression of Indian handloom but, an expression of ourselves and our personal style statement as well. No wonder it is so happily incorporated and accepted by woman all over the world and especially, by the brides. Right from stuffing their trousseaus with both new-age and heirloom pieces to even slipping into a beautiful sari on their wedding day, brides around the globe are all game for dolling up in this garment that can be worn in so many versatile ways.

And, it is for our sheer and pure love for sarees that when we came across this styled shoot planned by M'finity Events for Khush Wedding Magazine, we couldn't resist ourselves from showing this to you. This isn't just your normal shoot ladies, it's way beyond that. This shoot put together by the combined efforts of some prominent names in the industry is that perfect blend of contemporary elegance and traditional charm that every bride-to-be desires for.

Capturing the oh-so-gorgeous Indian American playback singer, Pragathi Guruprasad in this shoot, the lens of the ace photographer, Black Magic Creations created magic making this shoot an eye-pleasing one. Remarkably styled by Misteek London, this shoot is an inspiration for all the brides-to-be as to why they must slip into a saree for at least one of their wedding ceremonies. The way this mesmerizing turquoise and gold kanjeevaram saree by Casipillai Designer Collection, is paired up with a stunning veil by Couture by Rani, we're rooting for this outfit inspiration for your D-Day ladies. Moreso, what perfectly completes this outfit is the striking modern gold belt that brings about the right balance between modernity & old school.

(Pro Tip: Your modern western belts CAN be paired up with your Indian outfits just as elegantly!)

Maintaining the quintessence of a bride, the jewellery from AKN Jewellery, unquestionably took her to look a notch higher yet again striking the right balance between minimalism and OTT. While the layered up emerald and polki choker-rani haar and a kundan princess necklace along with big jhumkas made for the apt bridal jewellery, her splendid bangles and armlets stood out!

Completing her look with all the finesse was her low bun accessorized with a big rose and her minimal makeup so flawlessly done by The Paris Makeup. A shimmery silver liner, a bold lip, beauteous lashes, and a small black bindi finished off her look impeccably.
