William Lyon Phelps once said, "The highest happiness on earth is the happiness of marriage."
Weddings are one of the few things that make everyone happy in general. They're like a fairytale in the middle of an ordinary life that comes our way, whips us off of our feet and carries us into an experience worth remembering. And so, this time we have a fabulous couple in the form of Aman and Anjori.
Aman and Anjori's story is that of a couple that met, talked and fell in love. The only difference is that the couple met online, making them few of the rare couples that get past the online dating taboo. Scroll down below to witness their bright and beautiful wedding celebration captured beautifully by Dhanika Choksi Photography.
"We had fairly similar upbringings, value systems, and outlook toward life and connected deeply from the start," revealed the couple, "We went out for dinner on our first date and knew right away that what we felt was truly something special! There were no appearances to be kept or impressing that needed to be done."
Aman and Anjori's romance was something that not only grew with time but something that had a great start to itself, "We could talk to one another easily, be ourselves with each other, and most importantly, laughed a lot on our first date. This has held ever since!"
The couple resided in Canada when they decided to finally tie the knot. And the wedding was to take place in Delhi. But with the help of their trusty wedding planner - The Millennial Bridesmaid, close family and friends, Aman and Anjori were able to create the most flawless wedding experience ever.
Aman and Anjori held their bright beautiful mehendi ceremony combined with a cocktail at the Leela Palace Hotel. Covered in ice cream colours with the most fun elements like tassels, pom poms, colourful roses and all the gorgeous jazz! For this function, the bride was dressed in a stunning yellow off shoulder lehenga and a phulkari dupatta by Matsya World. Her mehendi was applied by Mehendi artist Arpit. The bride and groom got together with their closest of friends and family and had a blast at the function!
"I loved bringing together Anjori's mehendi look. From the phulkari dupatta to her family jewellery and even the tiny daisies in her hair - everything just worked! So glad to have Dhanika Choksi Photography as my partner at this wedding who captured all of these elements perfectly," said The Millennial Bridesmaid.
The Haldi ceremony was yet another intimate affair which was adorned with vivid yellow marigolds and splashes of pink, orange and red. For the haldi, Anjori wore a pretty fuchsia pink saree with golden work. The couple celebrated their Haldi ceremony together, which gave us some of the most wonderful and enjoyable photographs.
The wedding ceremony was elegant and graceful in all manners. The couple tied the knot at the beautiful Pahari Wala Gurdwara in GK 1. Anjori was dressed in a seamlessly stunning blush pink lehenga by Frontier Raas, along with gold Kundan jewellery with pink and green stones. On the other hand, Aman looked debonair in a powder blue sherwani paired with a rouge pink shawl and safa.
Like the mehendi, the reception ceremony was also held in the grand halls of The Leela Palace. The couple had their first dance and cut a delicious wedding cake within one of the ballroom halls of the hotel. The bride wowed us with her fabulous red lehenga by Anita Dongre, while Aman looked dapper in a black achkan to match in contrast to his wife.
Wedding Photographer
Dhanika and her team were a joy to work with! We were looking for a candid approach to photography at our wedding events and her team was fantastic at capturing all the in-between emotions and moments during all the celebrations and frenzy. We love our wedding album!
Wedding Venue
Such a beautiful property! From the gorgeous and comfortable suites to the beautiful interiors, and the stunning gardens, we could not have asked for a better wedding venue.
Wedding Planner
Having Aanchal Tuli on board was truly one of the best decisions that we made! She was extremely responsive and organized in the early stages of the planning process. We are based in Canada and were remotely planning our wedding in India, and having Aanchal take care of every front-line detail was a Godsend. She has an extremely optimistic and happy personality, and interacted beautifully with vendors, parents, and family members alike to make wedding planning and all the wedding events extremely smooth and joyous for us!
