1. Intimate Weddings
When COVID was at the peak, we saw more and more couples get hitched in an intimate setting. We saw a plethora of Bollywood and television actors have intimate weddings. Its cheaper, much more comfortable and you can do each and everything according to yourself!

2. Minimal Bride & Groom Outfits
While earlier brides and grooms couldn’t have enough of heavy outfits for their wedding functions, during the pandemic and even post that, we saw everyone take things down a notch. So many brides and grooms went with much more minimal outfits which seems to be the case even now. I mean, in today’s time we have brides who would much rather wear a sari than a lehenga on her big day!

3. Personalisation At Its Best
Like we mentioned above, since intimate weddings were in full form, so was personalisation at weddings. From customising the decor to even the outfits, each and everything has gotten so meaningful when it comes to weddings. This surely is one trend that’s here to stay and we’re all for it!
4. Less Wastage
Remember when brides and grooms used to go all out at their wedding whether we talk about the invites or we refer to the elements used for the decor? After the pandemic, people have realised that there’s no point in wastage and one needs to be mindful of how much purchase, consumption and wastage are happening.

In today’s time, there’s hardly anything which ain’t digital. I mean, we’re a generation that practically relies on social media for one too many things. Obviously we had digital invites since long now but it is just now that real couples are actually ditching physical invites and only opting for the digital ones. Its safe, cost efficient and fuss free too.

6. An Increase in Weekend Weddings
Another thing that escalated during the pandemic was that it is extremely crucial for one to enjoy the moment especially when it comes to weddings. People during the pandemic stopped looking at weddings as a task and again saw it one of the happiest times. So, to make the most of their happy moments, we saw a plethora of couples opt for weekend long celebrations. This trend has still stuck around and we’re glad that it did!

7. Extra Care At All Times
While the pandemic may be gone, COVID hasn’t. While earlier, nobody even thought of taking extra care, now, we cannot even imagine going to a big gathering without taking precautions. And that’s exactly why couples are still making everyone wear masks, handing out sanitisers and spreading out the wedding area so that there’s enough space for people to maintain some amount of social distancing.

8. Bid Adieu to Some Rituals
Due to the pandemic, a lot of couples had to opt out of certain customs and traditions. Looks like even though the pandemic may be over, couples are still choosing to follow only those traditions which they seem to be fit for them. Even now, a plethora of couples are getting rid of the stress and pressure to follow things a certain manner. Nobody saw it coming but this trend is here to stay for now!

9. Nobody Cares About the “Small Things”
In earlier times, almost all the couples would go in a state of frenzy if even the smallest thing went left and right. But, after the pandemic, everyone realised that it really doesn’t matter if the tissues are not of the right size or if the flowers came in a different color. So, get used to seeing a ton of people not really caring about the small things.

10. Focus on the Guest Experience
Since a lot of people are having intimate weddings, the focus on the guests will be a lot more simply because you’ll only have your nearest and dearest ones around. Even for the ones having a grand wedding, you lads will be focussed more on making your wedding a fun filled experience for your closest ones. The emotion aspect has started playing a much more bigger role than it used to earlier!
