Due to the pandemic, we had to bid adieu to a lot of things but the one thing which we had to let go of completely was a physical presence and at all times maintain social distancing. We missed on a lot of things but a lot of people, companies and organizations found a way to twist the situation and somehow make it work. And, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) definitely fall in the latter half cuz they just hosted the first-ever "Phygital Fashion Week" and it was surreal.

For those of you who don’t know what the term 'Phygital' means, it simply means to bridge the digital world with the physical world to provide a unique interactive experience for the user. This fashion week was unlike any other and while a plethora of us couldn’t physically be there to take the experience but we were pleased to see FDCI and LFW join hands and come up with a super cool experience for us.

So, like any other fashion week, this one too had some yummy outfits that all you to-be brides are gonna fall in love with! Scroll below to find out our picks for you all.

Best Designer Outfits from FDCIxLFW 2021 Fashion Week

1. Manish Malhotra

We’d like to start with Manish Malhotra cuz he gave us such dreamy and surreal outfits that every to-be bride can don to any of the wedding functions. This year Manish Malhotra’s collection revolved around outfits full of glam. We got to see many shimmery, metallic clothes that can look breathtaking at your cocktail function. Oh, and once you lay eyes on Kiara Advani’s embellished silver lehenga, you’re going to drop dead cuz that outfit is the bomb.

And dear to-be grooms, you’re lucky cuz this year, Kartik Aryan was also one of the showstoppers of the show and his black sherwani is absolutely gorgeous. We say it would look great on your wedding day!

2. Arpita Mehta

If you’re looking for casual traditional wear outfits which are easy to carry, light and have beautiful prints on them then Arpita Mehta’s FDCIxLFW collection is made for you. From bright colours like yellow to bold tones such as red, this designer has tried to keep it fuss-free for today’s bride who has a lot to do. We particularly loved the fact that this designer also managed to pair beautiful design elements like smaller ruffles with fun colours. All you brides who love fun silhouettes should scroll below and bookmark these looks!

3. Gauri & Nainika

Another great collection was presented by the sister duo, Gauri and Nainika at FDCIxLFW this year. Although their clothes are not your conventional and traditional ones, we have included some pieces from this year’s collection for all of you brides out there who are planning a sundowner party or a beach party to kickstart your wedding functions. These outfits are made for the day functions and will look so pretty during the spring or summer time. Our favourite has to be the white floral tube gown!

4. Suneet Verma

Suneet Verma is one of the few designers who like to keep it traditional and classy when it comes to bridal fashion. Very rarely is he seen experimenting with his collection but what he does is rework his pieces and come up with something that would help amp up your traditional wear. His collection in this year’s fashion week displayed a whole lot of colours in the outfits. From the ombre effect to the rainbow one, the designer has done his fair share of experimentation and has come up with beautiful designs for all the brides who want to look like a quintessential traditional bride on the wedding day.

5. Payal Singhal

Payal Singhal collection can be spotted from miles away cuz her style is a lot of boho which we simply love. For this year, Singhal decided to experiment with her collection and mixed traditional wear with athleisure (yes, you read that right!) This unique duo turned out to be so good that we can surely dig into this combination. Oh, and the fact that Athiya Shetty walked the ramp in one of the most beautiful fun lehengas only made us more excited. Ladies, her collection is perfect for your mehendi or haldi function. If you’re into athleisure, you can invest in one of her pieces for when you need an outfit to get ready in!

6. Anamika Khanna

We like to believe that Anamika Khanna has a very boho or indie vibe to her clothes. These clothes bring out the raw and authentic side of any to-be bride which is what we truly love to see. And this year, all you grooms have also gotten lucky cuz AK’s collection for men is immaculate. From the white sherwani to the embellished one, we are drooling over it all. Ladies, check out AK’s collection which she presented at this year’s fashion week if you’re looking for detailed work and stunning designs
