To be honest, one glance at this couple's wedding photographs and I wondered if they were Sabyasachi models. That's how crisp and glamorous Riya and Ankur looked at their wedding. But as I dug further into their wedding snaps captured by the creative visionary lenswoman Mili Ghosh, there was so much more that kept me hooked. For instance, the bride broke bridal fashion rules in the sassiest and the most eccentric way. She wore the fusion of modernism and traditionalism in the most unusual way at her Mehendi and Haldi ceremony. Her jewellery game was to swear by at each of the ceremonies! The groom made me skip a heartbeat with his on-point sartorial choice too. And oh, the insanely eloquent photographs by Mili Ghosh couldn't be any better.

Super-stylish Wedding Looks of Riya & Ankur

Edgy Mehndi Look

The fashion-forward bride Riya clad herself into a Masaba Gupta's signature fuschia pink printed skirt with a delicate satin crop top for the mehndi ceremony. As contemporary as it could get, the diva bride wore eccentric yet elegant jewels from Anomaly by Anam that totally outshone the outfit with utmost vogue. Ditching the quintessential floral and Gota jewellery that is hailed as the first choice for mehndi ceremony, this bride upped the glam game with her offbeat necklaces and handcuff. The side-swept open wavy hair, bold lips and golden smokey eyes added a perfect dash of edge.

Pithi Ceremony in a Lavender saree

Keeping up with her edgy style code, Riya stunned in a lightly-sequined dull lavender saree at her Pithi ceremony, but of course with a modish twist. This time again, she sassed-up her look with a quirky jewellery ensemble from Outhouse Jewellery. She teamed the saree with contrasting orange and blue tassel satlada with pearl detailing and matching earrings and hathphools. And oh, her hair too screamed GOALS as she kept them open in a side partition and infused a delicate braid weaved with an orange-hued thread.

Wedding in royal Sabyasachi outfits

One look at their wedding get-up and it was hard to believe that they are not Sabysachi models but a real-life couple all set to embark on a matrimonial journey. Riya bloomed in the raging Sabyasachi Dil Guldasta Lehenga while Ankur took our breaths away in a crisp emerald green Sabyasachi sherwani. He aced the monotoned look with green safa and churidar pants. Minimal golden adornments on his safa and a dainty necklace were the only accessories Ankur needed to complete his dapper groom look. On the other hand, the ever gorgeous Riya kept the styling sharp and donned a neck-cinching choker and a statement mang tikka with her hair tied back in a tight hair bun. She opted for a single dupatta and neatly placed it over her head and let the border flow through her shoulders. However, her broad set of solid green bangles played the real MVP and stood as a unique striking element. Check out their photos and you won't stop crushing over these two! And wait, before you scroll down, do give a special glance to their ferny jaimalas.
