"Embrace your real self!", "Love yourself the way you are", "Bedamn the societal pressure", "Slam the stereotypes"–we hear these sayings quite often! But let's face it, these are easier said than done. When it comes to actually implement these positive preachings, it unquestionably takes a LOT of courage and confidence. Cuz, the society we live in is always ready to bog you down with its set standards of beauty. And with brides, it is no different. Brides are expected to flaunt their finest body on the D-day and shed off the extra kilos if they are on the heavier sides. Plus-size brides keep hearing the taunts like "Lose the extra weight or else you will regret the wedding pictures." But guess what, there's a bride doing rounds on the Internet for her inspirational body positivity!

I am talking about none other than Ishleen Kaur Sethi, a famous Delhi-baed blogger who recently tied the knot in a blissful soiree. She had a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony preceded with a series of ceremonies like Mehndi and Cocktail. While her gleeful smile is a true killer, what I love the most is her optimistic attitude toward her self and her body. She legitly smashed the pressure of looking 'thin' at her wedding and strutted like a damn diva, flaunting her curves in the most voguish outfits.

Without making you wait any further, scroll down to witness Ishleen's admirable wedding looks captured beautifully by our vendor Rajesh Digital.

Mehndi

"Lose some weight, you'll make a stunning bride," Ishneet heard such unwanted suggestions from a lot of people while her wedding was approaching. But a  treasure trove of confidence, Ishleen states, "Losing weight or not, I still made one hell of a bride," and we can't agree more with this! Ishleen slipped into a vibrant ensemble to match the joyous feels of a mehndi ceremony. She picked a lovely yellow and magenta off-shoulder suit with voguish balloon sleeves and statement latkans. Now isn't that a fashion-forward choice?

For the styling, she got her hair braided with baby breaths and completed her look with fresh floral jewels from Kanyadhaan by Dhiraj Ayushi.

Cocktail

A princess, straight out of a fairytale–that's how Ishleen looked at her Cocktail function. Dressed in a dreamy red princessy gown from Bride & Beautiful (Shahpur Jat), Ishleen was a sight to behold. Makeup Artist Leena Bhushan created the perfect look and highlighted her eyes with smokey makeup whilst keeping the lips and cheeks muted. Middle-parted straight poker hair and a scintillating choker were all Ishleen needed to amp her look.

The Wedding

Recently, an eminent bridal couturier stated that plus-size brides should wear peplum blouses (for they are unfitted) and refrain from wearing deep necklines, Ishleen's bridal outfit choice was a big slam on such stereotypical remarks. The body-positive blogger flaunted her curves in a deep neck outfit. She totally aced her bridal avatar with utmost confidence and emerged as an inspiration for so many self-conscious beauties out there.

Much like many Delhi brides, Ishleen also resorted to the bridal shopping hub, Chandni Chowk, to score her dream bridal lehenga. She went to her trusted store, Chetan Sarees and instantly fell for a navy blue lehenga with intricate golden embroidery.  But the blogger bride customised it. She got the lehenga converted into an Anarkali and got the colour changed from blue to a deep bottle green for her Sikh wedding. *Brides, take notes! If you don't have the budget to splurge on an exquisite designer ensemble, customise an outfit to create your own dream outfit!*

She created a subtle contrast to her outfit by setting a blush pink dupatta over her head as a veil. Like a true Punjabi bride, her D-day comprised of traditional red chooda, kaleeras
