Grab some tissues guys, cuz this love story is gonna make you weep tears of joy to no end! Long-distance, cancer, family consent, hunting jobs in the same country—Mekhala & Tatum battled all the obstacles to finally reveal their love in the most joyous & warm multi-cultural wedding. These beauties got married at the same place they first met ten years ago, and on the same date.

Famous gay wedding photographer, Erica Camille shared photos of the heart-warming wedding nuptials along with their equally touching love story on his portal and we couldn't help sharing it. Mekhala who hails from Maharashtra and Tatum who is from Texas, USA solemnised their love in the presence of their dear ones in a Marathi wedding followed with a White wedding. Both of them wholeheartedly embraced each other's traditions and gleamed with joy on the D-day. Erica Camille captured all the happy and emotional moments so beautifully that they will melt your heart. P.S. Don't forget to read their endearing love story in the end.

Mekhala & Tatum's Love-filled Wedding Nuptials

The Marathi Wedding

Dressed in a traditional Nauvari saree and clad with the signature Marathi jewels, Mekhala walked hand-in-hand with her father towards Tatum, who looked gorgeous in an orange lehenga. The duo exchanged jaimalas and tied the knot in a blissful outdoor setup. Their loved ones cheered as the couple had their 'Sindoor moment' and took pheras.

The White Wedding

Soaked with emotions, the brides greeted each other with tears of joy at the civil ceremony. While Tatum looked like a dream in an ethereal white gown, Mekhala stunned in a violet dress. Beauteous floral arrangements set the vibe right as they both took vows.

Their heart-tugging Love Story

The two met in college in Virginia while studying creative writing. But it was only after Mekhala graduated earlier that they realised they wanted to be together. That marked the beginning of four years long-distance relationship, seeing each other for a few days after an all-night bus journey every few months.

"We leapt straight from friendship to love, a very serious love that we nurtured by transcending a seemingly constant series of obstacles – the long-distance, cancer, graduate and law schools, hunts for jobs in the same country, finally moving in together, and evolving family acceptance," says the couple.

"After a decade, our wedding was a chance for us to openly revel in our love and celebrate with our loved ones. Everything about our wedding was a perfect reflection of us as a couple, including the two ceremonies in one day. The first was a Hindu ceremony officiated by a priest in the tradition of Mekhala’s state of Maharashtra, while the second was a Western ceremony officiated by the writing professor in whose class we first met," the couple further shares.
