Forget the never-ending visits to the designers and rushing last minute for outfit trials, this gutsy (and lucky!) bride even selected ALL of her wedding outfits virtually, through FaceTime! Us poor creatures, we spend months sourcing the right designers to curate the perfect wedding outfits and still sometimes have to tread our steps back home with a disappointing experience. So, it is almost unbelievable how this bride, Shaista gathered the courage to do it all virtually! To her utter surprise too, all the designers perfectly executed everything without ever meeting her in person. She received all her outfits one week prior to her events and yes, she had ZERO COMPLAINTS!

Shoutout to all the lazy brides-to-be, Virtual selection of bridal outfits is now officially a thing and we have that in proof. Don’t know about you, but this is already a stunner bride for me!

For their Sagan, they decided to keep the décor very contemporary with a pastel hue dominating the setting. This outdoor arrangement had a few canopy-like structures draped with pink curtains and fresh baby breath flowers dangling from the rooftop as well as kept bottled up in small glass jars. The dining area exhibited regality with a combination of white and gold for the tables and chairs adorned with classy flower vases and sassy placards. Floral chandeliers added that tinge of magic to the whole vibe. The bride, fulfilling her dream of wearing a Pakistani designer, looked stunning in an effervescently embellished Tera Durrani lehenga!

Keeping the décor same as the Sagan ceremony, we love how it all blended in for this nighttime ceremony as well! Pretty pastely dream catchers and a beautifully decorated stage with fairy lights added glamour to the night. But what stole the show was the floral wreath seat for the couple which exuded that enchanted-forest mystical vibe to the whole setting!

The bride danced the night away in a dazzling powder pink lehenga designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock.

Not losing touch with her Mangalorean roots, bride Shaista wanted her wedding décor to reflect that. The mandap was very similar to the traditional South-Indian one in that it was kept very minimalistic and fully decorated with mogra flower strings. The bride, Shaista chose to keep it traditional in a heavy red embroidered lehenga by Shyamal & Bhumika decked up with gold and jadau jewelry!

About Their Love Story

Treading back in time, they first met through common friends in NYC and instantly became inseparable. After dating each other for two years, one Thursday afternoon Shaista got a message from Kshitij reading the address for their date night which didn’t come as a surprise to Shaista because they had a ritual of going for date nights on Thursdays. She got to the restaurant and a staff member escorted her to the rooftop which Kshitij had beautifully decorated with flowers and candles and set up an altar with a picture from one of their most memorable moments together in NYC. And the rest is history...
