Looks like this year is going our FAV cuz why not another actor has just joined the married people’s clan. Veere Di Wedding actress, Swara Bhasker has tied the knot with political activist Fahad Ahmad, who is the Maharashtra Unit President of the Samajwadi Party youth wing.

The duo’s court marriage took place on 6th January 2023 and after two months, the couple got hitched in an intimate setting with their closest friends and family members as attendees. Simple, heartwarming, and adorable, we just cannot get over Swara and Fahad’s wedding!

Introducing Swara Bhasker & Fahad Ahmad

The Big Reveal

Until recently, nobody knew that Bhaskar was involved with someone but the actress, on 8th January, took to her Instagram to give a sneak peek to her followers. Back then, she shared an adorable picture with Fahad where his face was not visible but with her recent video, it all makes sense now.

The duo met back in 2020 at a rally and after that, there was no looking back. Bhaskar and Ahmad first became friends and after sharing many conversations over their love for politics, their friendship bloomed into a relationship. And, what took their relationship to the next level was an adopted cat called Ghalib. Our hearts are full seeing their beautiful journey together!

The Wedding Celebration

For their beautiful intimate wedding ceremony, Swara and Fahad released some lovely wedding pictures lately. The couple can be seen twinning in shades of red — Swara Bhasker in a regal sari paired with a white blouse that belonged to her mother and Fahad in a classic Nehru jacket and kurta set.

On the other hand, Anaarkali of Aarah actresses aka Swara Bhasker, for her bridal jewellery, wore her mother's pearl choker with peacock detailing and a matching mathapatti. Bhaskar went with the 'no makeup look' for her celebration along with soft curls for her hairdo.

The Quirky Invite

Swara Bhasker & Fahad Ahmad wanted the wedding invite to capture how they met and fell for each other during a citizen protest, their memories of Mumbai and Marine Drive, their abiding love for the movies, and of course, for their beautiful cat, Ghalib 🐾.

The Haldi-Holi Ceremony

Swara and Fahad had the most fun Haldi celebrations ever that were drenched in Holi colours. Sharing their oh-so-cute Haldi ceremony pictures, Swara wrote "A Haldi ceremony that turned into Holi! Welcome to the festivities. #SwaadAnusaar has begun!" in one caption. Check out their oh-so-cute pictures coming straight from their Haldi ceremony. 

The Mesmerizing Mehendi & Sangeet Night

If there is one thing about Swara, Fahad and their family and friends, it is that they know how to have a BLAST! Swara and Fahad's Mehendi and Sangeet night looks so fun that we wish we had an invite too! Keeping up with the wedding festivities, the bride Swara wore a lovely orange Anarkali suit and danced her heart out!

Carnatic Vocal Recital at The #SwaadAnusar Festivities

Letting us know about her love for music beautifully, Swara wrote in her caption, "Music is the language of love. Carnatic vocal recital at the #SwaadAnusaar wedding festivities!"

For the special Carnatic vocal recital at their wedding festivities, Swara wore a gorgeous red and golden saree by Raw Mango and adorned her head with a beautiful sheeshphool, floral bun done to T by Stylist Sony and wore dewy makeup by Sara Capela. Fahad on the other hand looked handsome in his blue jeans, white shirt and golden beige waistcoat. 

The Exquisite Qawwali Night

The #SwaadAnusaar wedding had a special Qawwali night as well. For this special event, Swara wore a royal velvet suit by Heena Kochhar. With her regal outfit, she wore big earrings, a maangtikka with a passa and a cute little nath as well. Fahad was glowing in his royal kurta pyjama which was also by Heena Kochhar. 

 

The Glamorous Reception

Fahad and Swara hosted a beautiful reception night celebrating their wedding. Both Swara and Fahad wore exquisite outfits by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Fahad wore a precious off-white and golden sherwani. Swara looked radiant in her pink and golden lehenga.
