Refreshing Engagement Looks Of Sobhita And Chaitanya

Sobhita and Chaitanya got engaged on 8th August 2024. Sobhita looks gracious and coy as a lotus bud as she adorned shades of pink, blush, beige and a refreshing coral - kumkumam kanakambaram as they call it down South, in a custom-made Manish Malhotra Uppada handloom weave crafted by master looms of Andhra Pradesh.

Polki fusions by Manish Malhotra, fresh aboli gajras on loose flowy braids and au naturel makeup are her signature looks that strike through in all her attires that make this bride look naturally effortlessly elegant and beautiful, relatable as she joyously smiles through all her ceremonies. Chay looks handsome in an evergreen Telugu staple three-piece set of pattu pancha, laalchi, and kanduva in elegant white silk and gold resham weave.

At the first pre-nuptial ceremony, Nishchaytartham, parents of the bride and groom exchange betel leaves promising the wedding and seal the date. The bride and groom exchange rings and the bride's mother-in-law gifts clothes, silverware and jewellery as her blessings to the bride.

Sobhita melted our hearts as she chose to wear her mother-in-law’s coral and pink shaded muga silk saree with a contrasting green border and chose a beige silk blouse to let her saree shine. Raata Sthapana - Thaam Puja

A bamboo painted with turmeric and decorated with mango, jamun, and jammi leaves is fixed in the ground or a soil planter and is worshipped with pancha loha- five metals, navaratna - nine precious gems and navadhaanya - nine essential grains.

A pouch filled with sacred ingredients is tied to the pole, and prayers are offered to the pancha bhuta, which means five elements that are the basis of all cosmic creation and all the deities of the eight directions. Their pleasings are called for to bless the wedding festivities and newlyweds.
