We've always been head over heels for weddings that are packed with spell-binding decorations and loot-worthy outfits. But what makes us fall a wee bit deeper for a wedding is a merrymaking, happy-go-lucky couple. We couldn't help but instantly fall for this cute and high-spirited couple who danced their hearts off throughout their wedding.

Meet Smily and Abheshek! They celebrated their wedding in the beautiful city of Chandigarh at the luxe property of The Oberoi, Sukh Vilas with enough pomp and show (and we're in complete awe). From their unique yet stylish outfit choices to the extraordinarily beautiful mandap setup planned and decorated by the expert crew of Shanqh Luxury Events, everything about their wedding literally satiated our hearts. And how can we miss out on their jubilant Mehendi which was a perfect mash-up of festive vibes and unmissable decor elements?

To witness how beautifully the team of Naman Verma Photography brought their extravagant wedding to life, drive through these snapshots and bookmark your fav elements!

Energetic & Stylish Chandigarh Wedding

Retro-themed Mehendi

Smily and Abhishek's nuptials began with a vibrant Mehendi ceremony which was merrier than one can expect. The poolside area of The Oberoi, Sukh Vilas was beautifully trimmed with quirky elements like blue and yellow drapes, colorful pankhi hangings, floral curtains, and some painted hats. What added to the retro vibes of the function were the dazzling performances of the couple with their friends and family members. We personally loved how the couple was all gleeful, dancing and enjoyed this ceremony from the core of their hearts.

For the Mehendi, Smily wore a peach frozen tulle lehenga skirt with a royal blue chowkdi choli from Papa Don't Preach, which she beautifully accessorized with a multi-stringed mathapatti and a sleek haathphool. Abheshek, on the other hand, wore a pleated long kurta with a printed jacket and white pants from Shantanu & Nikhil.

Flashy Cocktail Bash

The cocktail bash had a very voguish feel to it with a lot of crystalized chandeliers, floral arrangements, disco balls and sparkler decorations. The glitzy night witnessed a starry performance by the ace Punjabi singer, Hardy Sandhu which got everyone into the fun mood and made them jump and dance the night out.

Smily looked glamorous as ever in her statement Gaurav Gupta gown with an elegant diamond necklace, half tied cascading curls and flushed pink makeup. Complementing her outfit, Abheshek donned a classy black tuxedo with satin flower embellishments and a black bow tie.

The Effervescent Haldi

The cocktail bash was followed by an exuberant Haldi. The key decor elements for this ceremony were yellow and white flower garlands. More than the decor, what got us hooked were the happy vibes of the ceremony. While Smily's Haldi rituals were all simple and suave, Abheshek's Haldi proceedings were a tad bit extra on fun. His friends not just painted him yellow with Haldi paste but also threw him in the pool.

The Dreamy Wedding

The traditional setup for Smily & Abheshek's wedding was a sight to behold. Especially the mandap, which was created using whimsical elements like red drapes, floral garlands, huge bells and some dainty kaleeras.

Abheshek, looking all dapper in an Anarkali style kurta & Nehru jacket, made a dashing entry on a vintage car with all the baraatis. While Smiley donned a mesmerizing dusty pink Sabyasachi lehenga and arrived in style under a bell embellished phoolon ki chaadar.

Their sweet 'n' spicy Love Story

We met through a common friend (female) in Chandigarh where I was visiting that friend while studying engineering in Patiala. So as soon as we guys met there was a connect but apparently, the other friend (female) was interested in me. After a while when I lost touch with the common friend, Smily and I started talking and eventually fell in love.

People say long distances do not last for very long and we made it work for four years. Throughout these four years, we have been in different cities. She was in Chandigarh throughout and I graduated from Patiala and then did my post graduation from London and eventually settled in Yamunanagar. We have seen a lot together but have happily stuck together. This makes us different.

She being a beauty with brains attracted me the most towards her. And I guess she fell in love with an excessively romantic and confident side of me.
