Introducing Saily & Shantanu

Eclectic Sundownder Mehendi Ceremony

The wedding festivities started with the Mehndi function. The eclectic decor was charismatic and lively which was the highlight of the ceremony. Having a day and night mehendi function, the bride chose to wear a combination of pink & red lehenga. With a braided hairstyle, she added an elegant mathapatti to her look for her day mehendi ceremony. The bridal mehendi ceremony took place at the bride’s villa and the sundowner was organised at The W in Goa. For the grand sundowner mehendi, the bride wore a stunning multicoloured lehenga with layered jewellery. On the other hand, the groom went for a pink kurta with multicolour detailing on the Nehru jacket. The ceremony was a star-studded event with a soulful performance by Harshdeep Kaur.

Holi-Inspired Haldi Function

Painting the space with bright colours at Saily's villa in Goa; the theme for the Haldi ceremony was holi-inspired decoration which left all the guests mesmerised as one could spot the lovely life-sized flowers, a gorgeous floral backdrop with yellow fabrics tied for the roofing along with large lavender flowers adding a touch of quirky elements.

For the fun-filled Haldi ceremony, Shantanu Powle donned an ivory kurta while Saily looked gorgeous in a white co-ord set with a jacket. With vibrant colours that made the event filled with energy the Co-founder of Knotting Bells Shrey said “If you look at the pictures, you will instantly feel the delightful and vibrant energy. The entire space was decked up in lavender and yellow and capturing these spontaneous moments and the couple being their goofy selves was amazing."

Fun-filled Cocktail & Sangeet Night

The sangeet and cocktail night was an extravaganza event. Just from the outfits, one can tell how grand it was, Saily lad looked like a doll in a shimmery gown while our groom wore a black tuxedo set. With the glorious chandeliers on the big stage, the sangeet decor was surely luxurious. Oh! And, we are loving how the duo dived into a dance evening with all the guests for an exhilarating sangeet night.

The Royal Marathi Wedding

The Maratha wedding was a royal celebration which exhibited a glamourous setup replicating the Shanivar Wada which is the palace of Peshwas in Pune. Saily & Shantanu had a pretty traditional Maharashtrian wedding where we spotted the guests with navarees and pagdis, which made the wedding look so magnificent and royal. There were so many little details that the couple had paid attention to. In her outfit, Saily added a customised green velvet silk shawl called Shela, hand embroidered especially for her. Shantanu opted for a kurta and a dhoti set. The wedding venue could be heard with pump-up beats of dhols, lazim and traditional dances for the arrival of the baraat.

Talking about the wedding decor that was so elegant and regal the bride said, “My mom and I always dreamt of a grand and royal wedding. Both of us always fantasised about the idea of having a larger-than-life, dreamy and elegant wedding and even gathered pictures and mood boards inspired by multiple weddings and authentic Maharashtrian traditions, over the years. Our culture is extremely important to us and we wanted to incorporate that through intricate details. We wanted everyone to feel as though they were witnessing a grand Maratha wedding, like the ones you only read about in history books.”

Grand Reception Party

The Reception night was all glamorous with all the mesmerising outfits! The bride slayed in a red velvet gown with a statement neckpiece where she kept her hair open with some soft curls. Shantanu on the other hand looked dapper in a bandhgala outfit. The reception decoration was kept elegant and floral arcs with initial neon lights were the highlight of the party.

Final Words From The Bride

“I am so so glad for everything and everyone at our wedding. My father Prasad Lad has been exceptional support in executing this dream wedding and everyone from the event decor to the exceptional photography by Knotting Bells has made our special day eternal. Shrey and his team have become like family after all the time spent through the ceremonies and we are in awe of all the gorgeous clicks they have captured for us.” shares Shaily.
