Introducing Saanya Sharma & Rahul Vohra

Saanya and Rahul are childhood sweethearts. They both known each other since they were 5 and were best friends in school. Growing up, they fell in love with each other and were destined to tie the knot. Rahul proposed to Saanya amidst the serene backdrop of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy in Kenya and it was a big yes! The Engagement

Saanya and Rahul's engagement took place in 2023 as the opening night for Bastian, Dadar which was around the theme of 'Disco Jungle'. Their shared passion for wildlife was visible in this lovely celebration of love. Saanya wore a unique halter neck gown with a side slit and Rahul wore a black shirt with brown pants with a matching blazer for this fun celebration.

The Mehendi

Saanya and Rahul's Mehendi Ceremony was set against the backdrop of Manhattan in St. Regis, Mumbai. It was a fusion of vintage charm and contemporary flair with a riot of colours and rainbows. Thoughtful mementos like potted succulents that symbolize ‘Let Love Grow,’ and rainbow keychains added a personal touch to this extraordinary affair. Saanya was donned in an exquisite lime green lehenga with a peplum top, and Rahul, in a charming white and pink mirror work kurta with dhoti pants.

The Haldi 

Saanya and Rahul's Haldi and Chuda ceremony was all about sun-kissed yellows and lush greens, beneath a stunning sunflower canopy. Saanya and Rahul were adorned in a bespoke orange ensemble curated by Saanya’s mother Ritu Sharma. We loved Saanya's beautiful golden chooda.

The Sangeet

The Sangeet night of Saanya & Rahul was decorated with a floral fantasy, with black mesh flowers throughout the decor. The centre stage was a reflective structure shaped like a home, embedded with infinity mirrors, symbolizing the couple building a home together. Saanya dazzled in a statement golden fishtail lehenga with a cape, while Rahul exuded charisma in a black tuxedo with a bowtie.

The Wedding

Saanya and Rahul's wedding was themed ‘Love Laps at the Racecourse,’ and it was decorated in romantic white and red hues. Both the bride and groom donned the quintessential red, the bride’s lehenga emblematic of a mother’s eternal love, designed by her mother, Ritu Sharma, and the groom, in a regal red Sabyasachi. Saanya wore statement polki jewellery which added to her regal charm.
