Imagine a South Indian wedding with a filmy set up where the bride, who is dressed in a beautiful Kanjeevaram saree and the groom, who is donning his ever-so-classic Dhoti-Kurta, is performing the wedding rituals and having one hell of a time. Now, couple that with double the grandeur and extravagance and you get this dreamy wedding which has got our hearts fluttering in awe.

Meet Sibi and Vishnu, who celebrated their wedding in the ‘God’s own country’, Kerala at the Al-Saj International Convention Center with enough glitz and glam and bowled us over with each of the wedding ceremonies having something unique to offer. From the bride’s strikingly sharp features to her grand wedding entry on a palanquin to the drool-worthy outfits and jewels, the wedding surely has a lot for you to take down notes.

Wedding reverleries of Sibi & Vishnu

The Velveteen Sangeet

The sangeet ceremony was based on a theme around one of the most regal fabrics- Velveteen. Sticking to a red and golden palette, the décor was done beautifully with subtle elements like the red stage backdrop bearing golden motifs adorned with ornate frames, the elegant pillar candles surrounding the stage and the jhulla sitting for the bride and the groom. We loved how the bride and groom had also dressed according to the colour code.

The Princely Wedding with a Dash of Gold

The bride looked breathtakingly beautiful in her green and golden Benarasi saree by Sabyasachi and the groom perfectly complemented her in his white Dhoti-Kurta from Manyavar. The golden colour dominated their wedding setup. From the mandap décor to the palanquin in which the bride was carried, almost everything was inked in gold. And how can we forget the bride’s intricately done gold jewellery by Rajasthan Jewellers and Bhima Boutique?

Spilling the beans about her wedding jewellery, the bride says,

"Rajasthan Jewellers in Trivandrum were the ones who crafted my wedding jewellery. When I was organizing my trousseau, I found that I loved several pieces that I stumbled upon on Pinterest. They were able to create for me designs that were inspired by the pictures that I showed them, and I was rather impressed by their attention to detail. They’re someone who I would recommend to any who is looking to purchase gold jewellery."

The retro Reception

While we have seen a lot of brides making a stellar entry at their weddings under a phoolon ki chaadar over their head, but this is the first time that we have witnessed the couple walking under one, holding hands, with firecrackers bursting on the either sides. Isn’t it just too dreamy?
