2021 is indeed the year of celebrity weddings. We saw actors and actresses like Dia Mirza, Evelyn Sharma and Yami Gautam tie the knot and now the celebrity duo Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar have joined the gang. This celebrity duo had been engaged for quite a long time, making their fans eager with each passing day. While many of the celebrities went with an intimate wedding, Disha and Rahul managed to pull off a lavish and rager wedding in Mumbai, and boy, we just cannot get over their wedding functions!

Introducing Rahul Vaidya & Disha Parmar

An Intimate Mehendi Ceremony 

Singer and Bigg Boss 14 finalist Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar’s wedding functions kickstarted with an intimate mehendi ceremony at the home of Disha Parmar. The ravishing bride donned a colourful sharara set in the hues of hot pink and sky blue. For her hairdo, Disha went with half tied hair. She got pretty little flowers put on the braid and had her ends curled. For jewellery, Parmar went with a golden necklace with dangling earrings. Her jewellery pieces had hints of sky blue gemstones which looked absolutely breathtaking. While Disha went with a quintessential mehendi look, our dapper groom Rahul went with a pastel blue kurta pyjama. It was clear that the couple had planned on twinning at the first wedding function. We also loved the peppy backdrop which had a cute little ‘dulhaniya’ written on it. Oh, and the fun part? The decor was as peppy as the duo’s mehendi looks!

Fun-Filled Haldi Ceremony 

There’s absolutely no doubt that the haldi function of any bride and groom is the most emotional yet the most fun one. There’s a splurge of emotions of every single nearest and dearest one present. Rahul and Disha’s mehendi function was no different. One could only guess how much fun the duo and their loved ones must have had from the photos. Again, an intimate wedding function, this celebrity couple’s haldi took place at home. The blushing bride went with a sleeveless plain yellow suit for this function and had her hair tied back in a low ponytail. Vaidya on the other hand went with a white lucknowi mirror work kurta pyjama (which was later taken off for the haldi rituals). We are in absolute awe of their wedding festivities. All the Haldi photos show how happy the duo are as well as their loved ones! 

Grand Daytime Wedding in Mumbai 

The wedding of Rahul and Disha took place during the daytime at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. When bride Disha’s first look at the wedding came out, we all had our jaws dropped on the floor cuz she looked so stunning. Dressed in a bridal lehenga that had mirror work and intricate embroidery work, Disha looked like a million bucks. She went with a big gold necklace with green gemstones and wore matching dangling gold and green earrings. The bride also wore a nath and a beautiful maangtikka. For her hair, Parmar went with a simple bun and had a dupatta pinned on the top. Man, she really wowed us with your wedding look. Talking about wedding looks, Rahul Vaidya was no less with his wedding outfit. He donned a white mirror work sherwani and paired it with a three-layer necklace. He also opted for a dull golden sehra to compliment his look. The groom’s best friends were super excited and all the pictures and videos clearly show how rager this celebrity couple’s D day was!

The Insane Dinner Post The Wedding 

Since this celebrity duo didn’t have a stand-alone sangeet function, they hosted a dinner for their loved ones post the wedding. The function took place at Grand Hyatt only and had multiple dance performances. Our favourite one was of course when Disha and Rahul got on the dance floor together. For this function, Disha looked absolutely ravishing in a lilac sequinned lycra drape saree gown by Dolly J Studio paired with a beautiful net embroidered sleeveless blouse. She also donned an embroidered detachable belt to keep the silhouette intact.

The newlywed bride went with basic curls for her hair and also got smokey eye makeup done with it. Rahul didn’t spare any function to make a statement and for this one, our groom went with a white and black three-piece suit. The jacket of the suit was a shimmery one which he paired with black trousers. Oh, and we also noticed that brooch that the groom donned!

Our highlight from this function has to be the duo’s performance and the moment when Disha stepped off the stage to wear her white sneakers! 

Sweet & Simple Post-Wedding Brunch

Here, comes the newly married couple - Mr and Mrs Vaidya. Decked up in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's yellow Bakhiya boxy kurta with memoni and a stole, Disha Parmar looked stunning for the post-wedding brunch. With soft makeup and braided hair did so perfectly by Shradha Luthra, the newly-married bride looked gorgeous for the post-wedding function. On the other hand, our #justmarried groom, Rahul Vaidya complemented his bride in a kurta-pyjama off-white gota detailing kurta with a churidar by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. 

Swooning Over #TheDiShulWedding’s Reception 

Another amazing function of the #TheDiShulWedding was their reception which was filled with stupendous performance no less than the ones we get to see at the award functions. Disha and Rahul made sure to make this function as dreamy and as grand as it can get by giving top performances on Bollywood songs, having a grand stage, having dancers on the dance floor and whatnot. For this celebratory function, Disha wore a gorgeous shimmery blue lehenga by Nikazaasian Couture and paired a marquise diamond necklace and matching earrings with it! For her hair, the newlywed bride went with a curly ponytail. Parmar looked absolutely surreal in this bridal look and we cannot stop swooning over her look. While Disha made us head over heels for her look, Rahul wowed us with his dapper outfit. The Big Boss 14 finalist donned a statement black illusion jacket with a classic black shirt. The duo truly complimented each other and had all of us in awe!
