"Love is the whole thing. We are only pieces."- Rumi

We're all fans of grand, luxurious weddings. After all, they do show us the most exuberant sides of the Indian wedding scene. Sooksham and Priya's wedding is no exception to this. Grand yet close-knit, the couple's wedding gave us butterflies. Everything about it was A-plus, from the decor to the bride and groom's elegant outfits!

Scroll down to check out the couple's gorgeous Jaipur wedding, captured by Safarnama Flims and planned gorgeously by Hitch Key Planners.

Introducing Priya & Sooksham

"Sooksham and I met in college while pursuing graduation," Priya Sethi recalls, "We became friends within the first few months of college and were soon part of a really small and close pack of friends."

From bunking classes to going on long drives, lunches and even dinners together. But then one day, their friendship completely changed, "On 16th November 2013, Sooksham proposed to me, asking me to be his wife. My life completely changed at that very moment."

As they continued to date, Priya and Sooksham Kejriwal understood that their opposite personalities were extremely compatible apart from the love that always existed between them. And as these past years have been witness to their relationship, it's proven that Priya and Sooksham's love and respect for each other have only increased.

Events of the #sookriya wedding took place at the Taj Jai Mahal Palace, Jaipur and Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur in the presence of the couple's family and close friends.

Welcome Dinner

The couple welcomed their guests with a glamourous Welcome Dinner party. Priya dressed up in a beautiful deep mauve lehenga by Vani Vats and kept her all over look rather simple with minimal makeup, jewellery and a sleek low bun. Sooksham also decided to stay on point with his outfit and wore a black tuxedo to match the formal nature of the night.

Engagement & Sangeet

For this function, Priya dressed up in a stunning off-white lehenga from the Falguni Shane Peacock signature collection, pairing her ensemble with sleek, straight hair and diamond jewellery. Sooksham, on the other hand, kept it simple yet dapper with a black bandhgala suit from Shantanu and Nikhil that sat in contrast with his bride-to-be's lehenga. The gorgeous engagement and sangeet function was teeming with beautiful pastel pink decor paired with beautiful twinkling light fixtures that illuminated the evening that was done to perfection by Hitch Key Planners.

Mehendi

The mehendi ceremony was a bright, sun-drenched affair with decor consisting of Moorish elements like blue and white printed drapes and cushions and floral accents that fit perfectly with the time and vibe of the event. Priya wore a beautiful sage green lehenga with jaw-dropping and intricate floral patchwork embroidery by Swati Narula while Sooksham chose a white kurta and pyjama with a sky blue Nehru jacket with silver foil work. Two things that truly stood out in our eyes were Priya's mehendi design and her gorgeous multi-coloured sheeshpatti from Fooljhadi!

Haldi

The haldi was the final function held before their wedding. With yellow decor that stuck true to the theme of the event, it was a function full of fun moments and raining flower petals for the couple. Though both Priya and Sooksham kept it simple with their outfits, the bride still managed to add a touch of bridal finesse to her look with hathphools and maangtikkas made from baby's breath flowers.

Wedding

The wedding was held in a grand open-air location, with exuberant white and green decor that was dotted with elements that alluded to nature and tiny yet bright chandeliers. Priya wore a gorgeous Payal Keyal lehenga in the shade maroon with multi-colour embroidery, completing her look with flowers in her hair and elegant jewellery. Sooksham, consequently, chose an off-white ensemble consisting of an embroidered sherwani, stole and an off-white safa from Diwan Saheb.
