So all you brides out there working round the clock trying to make your wedding perfect, don't starve yourself late at night thinking you will put on weight. However, if late-night snacking is on the schedule, opt for healthy snacks and cut down on a few extra calories throughout the day to balance your calorie intake.

MYTH 2: It is better to eat six meals a day instead of three meals

Fact: The theory of weight loss works on the balance between the calories eaten and the calories burned. So brides do a portion control of six small meals a day to keep yourselves energetic and going. However, if you want more elaborate meals then sticking to the classic three meals per day, then eating small portions apart from (breakfast, lunch & dinner) helps you cut down on the extra calories of snacking in between meals.

Myths On Diets That Every Bride Believes To Be True

MYTH 3: A low carb/ high protein/ no fat diet helps you lose weight quickly

Fact: While initially, these restrictive diets help to push your weight loss journey further, the results are hard to maintain. These diets are hard to be continued for a longer period and can lead to extreme mood swings as well. So, brides who are always on the run and doing things around the clock, these restrictive diets are not for you because they are hard to follow and require pre-planned fixed meals. Also with all the chaos already happening around, we wouldn't want the mood swings to add to your stress level and affect the glow on your face or your peace of mind.

MYTH 4: Fruit juices cleanse & detox the body to lose weight

Fact: While a juice cleanse and detox plans have been super popular amongst brides-to-be, the fact is that these juices might help you to cut down on the calorie intake per day but add a lot of sugar to your diet. They spike your blood sugar level and do not support weight loss as you think it would. It instead makes you gain more weight in the long run. So all my smart brides out there, stop trying these fad detox diets and juices and believing these fitness myths and rather consider eating a raw fruit than drinking it.

Myths On Metabolism That Need To Be Busted For Brides Before The Big Day

MYTH 5: Eating foods that jump-start your metabolism can lead to weight loss

Fact: While research suggests that some food items have the power to slightly and temporarily increase metabolism. The truth is that a little bump in metabolism won’t have a significant effect on long-term weight loss if that's what you're hoping for. So all you brides out there, though you may consume drinking green teas and black coffees but ensure that you take some time out to do resistance and strength building exercises that burn calories and fat. 

MYTH 6: Skipping meals is the best and fastest way to lose weight

Fact: While we are hoping that our millennial brides are smart enough to not fall trap to myths like these. We still need to tell you the fact that skipping breakfast or any other meal of the day actually slows your metabolism down and will eventually lead to weight gain. So dear brides make sure to eat all your meals in small portions and don't skip any meals.
