Childhood romances are truly amazing to witness. Our couple today is no exception to this marvel. Meghna Sahijwani and Jai Bhattacharya met each other in 8th grade and have been going strong ever since. From every happy moment to every second of celebration, the couple's gorgeously decorated summer wedding in Goa has us mesmerised. Oh! And, their Pinterest-inspired pre-wedding shoot with seashore & garden themes was something that we still can't get over from it! 😍

Introducing Meghna & Jai

"Jai and I met in school," Meghna recalled to us, "We sated in 8th grade, which was a relationship that didn't even last a week. However, post that when Jai realised what an amazing girlfriend I could be, he took it upon himself to get me back. This was tough, considering I had started to dislike him after the little mishap."

However, 7 months of being friends post-breakup, Meghna knew that Jai was really head over heels for her, "He wooed me each day. And every other day, we'd go watch the sunset on the beach by my building. Being 16, I doubted this would last. Still, we gave it a shot irrespective of what others had to say."

12 years later, the Meghna and Jai are still going strong. And now they've begun their journey as a married couple! "Of course, we had our ups and downs. But we stuck around and grew up together and made it our journey. Not perfect, but real. Each day learning something new about each other."

The couple's #MegJesstic wedding took place at the Alila Diwa Hotel in Goa, which was an intimate affair with a stellar guest list full of celebrities!

Mehendi Ceremony

The sunny mehendi was an afternoon full of fun, dance and lots of dhol. Meghna dressed up in a neat dusty rose lehenga with multicoloured 3D embroidery and nalki work by Richa Jaisinghani Label, while Jai chose an off white kurta payjama with a stunning black nehru jacket with intense decorative thread embroidery by NM Studio.

Sangeet Night

For the evening affair, Meghna chose a green lehenga with ruffles and shimmer and nalki embroidery by K&A. Jai, on the other hand, chose a white mirror work kurta designed by NM Studio. The night was a fest of musical performances, with dances by various family members including the bride and groom along with musical performances by singer-producers like Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam.

Haldi Function

The haldi ceremony took place at the morning of the wedding for which Meghna wore a beautiful orange outfit with kowri shells and thigh high slits, along with gota and artificial flower jewelery from Floral Art by Shristi. Whereas Jai kept it simple in a sunny yellow silk kurta payjama set. 

Wedding Day

A beautiful wedding to witness, Meghna and Jai's nuptials were truly a magical sight to behold. Styled in a gorgeous champagne coloured shimmer lehenga by Seema Gujral, Meghna looke dreamy with light makeup and glittering jewels. Jai, on the other hand, wore a stunning off-white coloured sherwani with gold embroidery designed by NM Studio.
