Introducing Megha & Yash's Gorgeous Wedding

Megha and Yash are what people close to them would call 'one-of-a-kind'. They effortlessly turned their traditional meet-cute into a beautiful modern romance, showing everyone around them that they're a couple that could inspire love in many.

After being stuck in a lockdown for months, Megha and Yash have had an adventurous romantic journey which not only included Megha almost rejecting him to their distinctive Dharavi pre-wedding photoshoot and them finally falling head over heels for each other. The duo tied the knot recently and kickstarted their journey as a married couple. And might we say, the wedding was every piece of wonderful and glamourous!

Bhajan Sandhya

The first ceremony of the wedding was the Bhajan Sandhya. Megha wore a beautiful purple sharara with a gorgeous peplum style blouse while Yash chose to keep it simple in a white mirror work kurta.

At Home Mehndi Ceremony

The couple had two mehendi celebrations. One held on the eve of 8th March, at the bride's home where she got her mehendi done. For her home mehendi, Megha dressed up in a pretty yellow top and floral print teal skirt by Azuli By Nikki. For the home mehendi, the bride's home was drenched in pastel florals and greens that made it even more endearing.

Main Mehendi Function

Following the bride's mehendi at her home, the main mehendi function took place on the 9th of March at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai. The event was one of the most pretty and peppy mehendi celebrations that we have ever witnessed with colourful decor in yellow, pink and orange hues with rustic floral accets as well. Megha wore a gorgeous single shoulder pink gown with silver embroidery while Yash dressed up in an off white kurta pyjama ensemble with an off white nehru jacket.

Sangeet Function

The sangeet night was an event to remember. Decked up in a deep red lehenga with a custom made shoulder and ruffles, Megha wowed the crowd in her minimal makeup and open wavy curls. Similarly, Yash stood out and looked dapper in a black tuxedo that was in perfect contrast with his wife's full red ensemble. Drenched in hues of silver, purple and blue, the sangeet night was a memorable collective of elements like stunning decor, foot tapping music and dance performances to die for.

Haldi Ceremony

Taking place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Mumbai, the haldi ceremony was yet another picturesque affair where both the bride and groom looked fabulous. Megha wore a beautiful yellow bandhani lehenga along with a mix of floral jewellery and stunning diamond and emerald neckpiece and earrings. Yash matched his wife-to-be for the haldi in a yellow kurta pyjama ensemble along with a deep yellow nehru jacket. Laden with yellow marigolds and white rajnigandhas, the haldi ceremony witnessed an array of yellow colours being used to electrify the occasion!

Wedding Day

When looking over their wedding pictures, let us tell you- we were stunned. The venue was covered in beautiful white and off white flowers and green leaves, along with chairs decorated with white drapes and white roses. The mandap was another dreamy stage set in white flowers and baby's breath with hanging sealing decor. Another element that caught out eye was the vintage red car that the bride and groom had rented out through Retro Rentals.

Megha looked like a dream in her Abhinva Mishra golden lehenga with mirror work, and jewels covered in diamond and red stones. She chose to complete this with a low bun covered in flowers and minimal makeup. Yash, on the other hand, looked handsome in a mint green sherwani, paired with a golden safa and green emerald haar.
