Don't we all die a little extra for a wedding that has picturesque environs, fairytale shots and a bride dressed in dazzling outfits? Well, this quaint wedding of the lovely couple, Aakriti and Abhinav, had it all and is as fancy as it is elegant.

Hosted at the plush property of Best Western Resort Manesar, Aakriti and Abhinav's wedding ceremonies was a happy and cheerful celebration of their love amidst their close ones. It boasted of an exuberant Mehndi ceremony, an exciting cricket match, a glam cocktail night and a fun-filled haldi followed by an extravagant wedding. However, what caught our attention the most at each of the wedding revelries and stole the show for us were the bride's unique and breathtaking outfits. Right from her emerald green Mehndi outfit to her remarkable ivory bridal lehenga, we are totally head over heels by all her outfits.

If you too want to get bowled over by her sartorial choices, dig deep into this wedding beautifully captured by the ace team of Moving Pictures and take all the inspiration needed!

Beautiful Resort Wedding of Aakriti & Abhinav

Feisty Mehndi

Aakriti and Abhinav commenced their wedding celebrations with a vibrant mehndi ceremony which was hosted outdoors. The decor for the mehndi was resplendent with fuschia pink drapes, marigold adornments, pin wheel centrepieces and printed cushions. We loved how the entire venue was drenched in rich hues and dotted with elegant and colorful tasseled strings. Also, not to miss out on those alluring chair decorations done with floral printed linen that added more vibrancy to the function.

Clad in an emerald green and beige gota patti lehenga from Anita Dongre, Aakriti made for a real diva on her Mehndi ceremony. She fashioned her gorgeous ensemble with a pair of fancy danglers, an easy-breezy half-tie hairstyle & nude lips and we're liking every bit of her Mehndi look! Abhinav on the other hand, kept it all basic yet stylish in an ivory kurta-pyjama paired with an embroidered nehru jacket and tan loafers.

Fun Cricket Match

The high-spirited Mehndi was followed by a fun cricket match the next day between the bride's family and the groom's. Everyone was dressed in personalized T-shirts-the bride's squad in reds and the groom's gang in blues. It was a perfect way to get the guests into a fun mood.

The bride quips,

We had a cricket match on the 25th, groom family versus bride family, and we were each captain of the opposite side, the unique bit is my dad (also the umpire) deliberately made his team lose the match, and till date refuses to admit it. We are Jaat's (real sober ones) and Abhinav's side are Punjabi's, but most of his family live outside of India, and honestly thought all Jaat's carry guns, and we genuinely scared them on the first function to the extent that his cousin actually said to my dad, 'Uncle hope you're not going to take out the guns'.

Glitzy Cocktail Night

The Cocktail bash was all sorts of jazzy and fancy. The lush lawns of the venue were turned into a lit enchanted garden with a huge tree covered with fairy lights and the entry walkways festooned with floral arches and lights. A huge stage was also put up with elegant floral arrangements and a peachy draped backdrop. However, the highlight of the evening was the synchronized dance performances by the bride and groom along with their friends and family members. There were as many as 35 performances lined up for the night as the groom's family was really into dancing.

For the cocktail bash, Abhinav looked smart and dapper in a classic black tuxedo with a metallic bow-tie. Whereas, Aakriti looked all glamorous in a glimmering gold gown adorned with pearls, beads and sequins. She kept her makeup minimal, did her hair into a messy bun and finished off her look with a single-stranded Polki necklace and a dainty pair of earrings.

The Wedding Day

The wedding day madness began with a zesty Haldi ceremony which was quite an emotional affair for the groom (as quoted by the bride). The decorations for the day were kept to minimal with only a few yellow drapes, blossoming flowers and mirror strands set up altogether as a backdrop.

Keeping it all simple and casual, Abhinav was dressed in a basic white T-shirt for the haldi rituals. Aakriti, whereas, opted to drench into the haldi color and sun-shined in a bright yellow outfit for the day. We loved how the vibes for their Haldi ceremony were all cheery and warm with the bride and groom giggling their hearts out.

Soon after the haldi ceremony, the couple slipped into their wedding day outfits to begin with their mesmerizing nuptials. Looking like a debonair groom in a pristine white Sabyasachi sherwani along with gold safa and multi-layered beaded haar, Abhinav made a boisterous entry with a standing baraat which was all about his favorite DJ & Dhol combo. The bride, on the other hand, arrived just in style under a beautiful phoolon ki chaadar with her veeres by her side. Donning a ravishing white bridal lehenga with gold embellishments and pastel embroideries, Aakriti looked breathtakingly beautiful. She paired her exquisite Asiana Couture ensemble with an elaborate matha patti, a beauteous Polki necklace and went with a neat baby's breath hairstyle and clean makeup.

The couple exchanged their vows under a simplistic mandap done with white drapes and yellow blooms. Here are all the beautiful pictures from their union that will make your hearts skip a beat!
