There are a lot of downfalls of having to stay at home during the pandemic but designer Tarun Tahiliani may have just made the lockdown a tad better for us by unleashing his new bridal and festive wear collection.
#PiecesOfYou is an ode to all those brides and grooms who want to celebrate their individuality on the big day aka the wedding day. It’s dedicated to all those women who want to find an inner voice in this chaotic world with so many opinions and noises. This is Tahiliani’s first-ever digital fashion show and it took his team approximately three weeks to get things set up at Tarun Tahiliani Atelier. His team painted the entire mood board room to match the concrete walls, miniature paintings were used to cover the walls and for the floors, Tahiliani’s team went with old Indian, Mughal and Persian carpets for the ramp-like setting.
If this designer’s eye for details doesn’t speak volumes, then nothing really does! 😍
Tahiliani’s First Digital Fashion Show
Speaking of the beautiful collection, on 16th July ‘20, Tarun Tahiliani’s Instagram profile went live to showcase his bridal collection which was a reflection of pieces of TT’s thoughts over the last 25 years. A lot went into the making of this collection’s pieces. Tarun said, "A myriad of techniques, drapes and fabrics have been pieced together over a quarter of a century. When you build something, it is done piece by piece. Whether it’s a partnership, a wedding, or a couture outfit."
These heavenly bridal pieces have been handcrafted using a mix of techniques such as delicate Dori work, embellishments of Swarovski crystals, pearls, Resham, zardozi technique, and the list goes on and on.

Oh, and TT didn’t leave out the grooms guys. Tahiliani has created some immaculate chicken sherwanis, churidars, and whatnot. TT has also kept layering in mind when creating the groom’s collection and you’ll find beautifully structured drapes in the collection.
Now you to-be-grooms also have something to lust on!
And, finally, TT likes to wrap up this majestic collection by saying, “Here’s to you finally coming home!”
