When two souls are meant to unite, no obstacle can stop their unison! And the couple whose wedding has made it to our blog section today, their love story proves the same. Ankit and Saloni met each other through an arranged setup. It was no filmy story but just how it happens in real life, it took them a few meetings to realise they wanted to marry each other. But the strength they showed during the 15 months of their courtship period in which Saloni's mother suffered from brain hemorrhage (twice) made it look like Ankit and Saloni were in love with each other since forever. Their roller-coaster-like courtship period culminated in a heart-warming wedding soiree at a beauteous property in Kolkata, Raichak on the Ganges.

Saloni and Ankit's wedding was a true showcase of traditions. All the ceremonies were celebrated with utmost traditions and unbounded joy. All of it was gorgeously captured by the talented team of Jodi Clickers who lensed each and every detail, emotion and candid moments with their creative finesse. Without waiting anymore, lets jump into their wedding album and steal some inspiration (cuz, why not!)

Ankit and Saloni's Endearing Wedding Celebrations

Pool Party with Props

Drenching everyone in the wedding madness was a hep pool party which also marked the wedding revelries of Ankit and Saloni. It was a high-vibe affair which saw everyone immersed in fun and colours. The decor also complemented the vibrant feel of the party. The poolside area of the venue was vivaciously adorned in the hues of turquoise and yellow.

The pool-party ready couple made a dramatic entry amidst the smoke effect of colourful smoke bombs. Saloni was dressed in a floral print pleated skirt and a soft pink top. She got her hair done into a braid and further included a floral crown. Several personalised bridal merchandises like a sash and sunglasses completed her look. The groom, on the other hand, kept it casual in a blue printed shirt paired with a pair of white denim.

Joyous Bhat ceremony

The Mayera aka Bhat ceremony was an extravagant affair which saw the bride frolicking around in a stunning ivory & hot pink lehenga. The groom complimented her in an ivory kurta and Nehru jacket set. The overall ceremony looked like a vibrant Rajasthani mela. Garlands of marigolds, colourful drapes and Rajasthani fabric umbrellas were used to decorate the venue for this ceremony.

Bedazzling Sangeet Night

The Sangeet night was all about elaborate performances and breaking the larger-than-life dance floor (quite obviously! :P) Both the bride and the groom surprised each other with their performances. While Saloni danced on some special songs, Ankit wooed everyone with his singing skills. The couple even put their best fashion foot forward and impressed us with their outfits. Saloni dazzled in a pastel yet shimmery lehenga, whereas Ankit looked dapper in a diagonal-cut bandhgala set. Furthermore, the Hum Sufi band kept everyone entertained.

Euphoric Haldi

Ankit and Saloni's D-day began with an auspicious haldi ceremony in the morning. Both of them had separate haldi ceremonies with their respective families. While Saloni's haldi ceremony had a warm and emotional vibe, Ankit's cousins opted the crazy way! They completely drenched him with water & milk, and had an insane haldi bash.

Pretty Pastel Wedding

Saloni and Ankit's wedding was an outdoor day affair (just how most millennial couples like it)! Dressed perfectly for the day wedding, Saloni embraced a pastel pink lehenga with double dupattas. Replete with dainty embellishments, Saloni's lehenga made for an elegant choice. And we love how she infused a touch of personalisation with the peppy latkans. For the jewels she picked not-so-heavy pieces and further amped her look with floral kaleeras.

Looking dapper in an ivory sherwani, Ankit entered with his clan of crazy Baraatis who danced their hearts out all the way! He wore pastel pink safa and waistbelt to complement the bride's outfit. In terms of decor, the mandap and the jaimala setup were the true marvels. The ornate stage with flowy drapes and embedded flowers lent a dreamy touch to their jaimala photos, whereas the all-white mandap was the perfect setup to take pheras.
