One of India's fastest Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah recently tied the knot with TV news presenter Sanjana Ganesan in a private wedding in Goa, which was as DREAMY as imagined. Looking at the current pandemic situation, the wedding of #sanjbowlsjasover had a limited number of guests with a no-phone venue at Alila Diwa Goa. Giving us a vibe of Virushka's wedding the couple looked classy in these designer outfits for their ceremonies. Whether it was Tuscany jamdani linen saree from Anavila, Amit Aggarwal's purple metallic structured gown, Anita Dongre's opulent sangeet purple lehenga or her mehndi lehenga that was exquisitely hand-painted and inspired by mystical Indian forests. Bride Sanjana made our hearts melt by wearing these gorgeous bridal outfits where her makeup and hair was on-point done by Bianca Louzado. 

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah was one such dapper groom who impressed us with his vanilla libra kurta and a silhouette in navy with black embroidery by Kunal Rawa, a grey kurta set with a striped stole by Antar Agni, and Anita Dongre's cream-coloured bandhgala set with a classic gold Mojris. 

Oh! And they even made a Sabyasachi couple where Sanjana wore a classic Sabyasachi bridal lehenga, meticulously embroidered using silk floss with 18k Sabyasachi Jewelry. While Jasprit coordinated with his wife in a pale pink embroidered raw silk sherwani and a tussar-georgette shawl. Complimenting his look he further paired with strands of tourmalines and a kilangi by both Sabyasachi Mukherjee. 

From meeting each other during a world cup match to celebrating the #sanjbowlsjasover. This magical Anand Karaj was beautifully designed, planned, and conceptualised by Devika Narain and Company where Stories by Joseph Radhik and The Wedding Filmer did a great job by capturing their moments so perfectly.

Sweet & Simple Welcome Wedding Lunch 

Starting with the wedding festivities of #sanjbowlsjasover the duo first had the welcome wedding lunch for their friends and family members. The couple for the wedding lunch outfits were seen imbued in pastel shades of blue and vanilla with delicate motifs. Sanjana Ganesan, TV news presenter wore a beautiful Raw Mango blue longline Anarkali paired with Fizzy Goblet's juttis for the welcome lunch. She further accentuated her bridal look with a dazzling pair of chic jharokha-style jhumkas from Mahesh Notandass Fine Jewellery, Mumbai. 

Coming now to groom-to-be, Jasprit Bumrah. Keeping it simple and classy just like his bride he went for a dapper Kunal Rawal outfit and footwear by the designer. Vanilla libra kurta highlighted with texture play and metallic threadwork embroidery paired with slim pants and patent mojris worked perfectly on Mr Bumrah for the daytime function. 

Party All Night on The Sangeet Night

After keeping an intimate welcome lunch for their loved ones, now it was the time to wear dancing shoes on. Making the happiest couple of 2021, Jasprit Bumrah & Sanjana Ganesan's sangeet was truly magical in every sense. For the sangeet night, Sanjana Ganesan chose a rich and opulent purple lehenga with gottapatti hand embroidery by Anita Dongre for the function. She paired exquisite jadau jewellery from Pinkcity by Anita Dongre and completed her look with handcrafted shoes by Aprajita Toor. 

OTOH, Jasprit Bumrah celebrated his sangeet by wearing a deconstructed silhouette in navy with black embroidery and metal detailing from Kunal Rawal. The outfit was detailed with custom-made Kunal Rawal Ashoka buttons paired with bespoke patent black brogues by the designer to complete the look.

Fun-Filled Combined Haldi Ceremony  

Designing and planning the wedding of the couple, Devika Narain and Company did a FAB job as far as the decoration is concerned. Devika Narain said, "A union of two cultures, the haldi resonated with Sanjana’s Tamil heritage. The banyan tree draped with marigolds formed the perfect backdrop to the ceremony." 

Taking a minimalistic approach Sanjana chose to wear a floral Tuscany jamdani linen saree from Anavila, which she further paired with a piece of alluring oxidised jewellery by Ritika Sachdeva to complement the bridal look. The jamdani has floral motifs all over along with a contrast selvedge of silver zari detailing that looked more than perfect for the Haldi ceremony. Following the same path, Jasprit Bumrah went for a simple grey kurta set with a striped stole to add a touch of freshness by Antar Agni. Furthermore, #sanjbowlsjasover paired their outfits by twinning in handcrafted leather flats by Aprajita Toor. 

Pretty Custom Hand-painted Outfits For Mehndi Ceremony

Coming now to our favourite ceremony - Mehndi. Jasprit & Sanjana both chose a custom hand-painted outfit in traditional pichwai art by one and only Anita Dongre for their mehendi ceremony. Bride Sanjana Ganesan picked a lehenga that was exquisitely hand-painted and inspired by mystical Indian forests. Each motif was precisely created by master artisans from Jaipur learned in the ancient Pichhwai art form. Furthermore,  the strokes complemented with the designer's signature gotapatti hand embroidery and embellished with Dori, pearls, zari, zardosi, and sequins. Highlighting her mehndi look by Pinkcity by Anita Dongre jewellery and pairing it up with Anita Dongre's footwear she looked radiant with her stunning dewy makeup and a ponytail hairstyle by Bianca Louzado. 

Talking about the Indian fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah too wore Anita Dongre's outfit that was a cream-coloured bandhgala set with texture on it and a  classic gold Mojris that matched the vibe of the ceremony. 

Oh! Apart from the outfits what took our breath away was Sanjana's bridal mehndi design (The World Cup Logo!) by Halima Khanni Zami. Halima revealed "These pictures have taken the Internet by storm for so many reasons, one of them is the World Cup logo! Let me tell you how it went. I always like to make every brides mehendi design unique with some special element connecting to their love story or wedding. While having a conversation I asked Sanjana how did they both meet? "At the World Cup," she said. And that’s how the World Cup logo was created." 

So, zoom in to see the personalised world cup motif at the back of her hand because this was the first time when dup met each other during a world cup match.

Magical Anand Karaj & Couple in Sabyasachi Outfits 

Working day and night, wedding photographer Stories by Joseph Radhik & videographer The Wedding Filmer captured this GORGE wedding of #sanjbowlsjasover. With tonnes of masti on the pre-wedding ceremonies, now it was the time for The Big Day at Alila Diwa Goa. Drenched in the prettiest fresh flowers from the gardens Devika Narain and Company proved to us that even an Anand Karaj wedding can be as dreamy as ever imagined. "It takes a village and more. I wanted to take out a few minutes and give a shout-out to all the teams responsible for this beautiful wedding. I've always believed we're only as strong as the people we work with and behind the smiles of this wedding is an army of humans who made it happen. Rather warm but beautiful morning in south Goa stood witness to the wedding of perhaps two of the kindest, warmest people we know. In the midst of a garden of Indian grown flowers, Sanjana and Jasprit celebrated their love for each other," said Devika. 

Styled by Shayal Sheth, Jasprit & Sanjana complimented each other just perfectly for their Anand Karaj which matched with their floral decoration. Coy bride, Sanjana Ganesan wore a classic Sabyasachi bridal lehenga, meticulously embroidered using silk floss. Her bridal look was further accessorised with Sabyasachi Jewelry signature heritage jewellery made with uncut diamonds, tourmalines and emeralds, set in 18k gold. 

Giving us some major #groomoutfitgoals, Jasprit Bumrah went with a pale pink embroidered raw silk sherwani, paired with a tussar-georgette shawl embellished with ‘zari’ embroidery by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. His look was accessorised with strands of tourmalines and a kilangi studded with uncut diamonds and tourmalines from the Sabyasachi heritage jewellery collection.

Glamorous Grand Reception Party

After a delightful Anand Karaj now it was the time for a grand reception party where the couple looked stunning together. For the reception night, Mrs Bumrah aka Sanjana Ganesan wore Amit Aggarwal's purple metallic structured gown with 3D hand-embroidered metallic polymer and cords. Accentuated with a voguish ponytail and adorning classy & elegant layered diamond necklaces & earrings from Anmol Jewellers, the TV news presenter made a perfect newly-married bride. On the other hand, complimenting his bride on the glam quotient, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah wore a crisp 3 piece black suit that looked dapper for the night.
