The journey of finding your soulmate is never easy. It's, honestly, a trial and error method that most of us go through. However, when you do find the ONE, life becomes a blissful mess. With your emotions everywhere, your feelings everywhere else, everything that never made sense before, starts making sense. Just like it did for our newlywed couple Inayat and Akshaan.

Scroll down to check out this gorgeous couple's intimate wedding week, which was not only dotted with customised elements left and right, but also lit with glam elements!

Introducing #AYAT- Inayat & Akshaan's Wedding in Ludhiana

"Akshaan is a Delhi guy, whereas I'm from Ludhiana," recalled Inayat, "And it was love at first sight for me!"

When a friend suggested Inayat to try a dating app, she was initially hesitant to meeting someone online. However, she met Akshaan online and was immediately interested in him. After conversing for a week, the two finally met each other. And just like the bride narrated before, it was like love at first sight for them, "He was everything I had been looking for."

"I always had a list of things I wanted in my life partner. And somehow, Akshaan was the person who fit every criterion! He had an innocence about the way he smiled and looked at me."

So smitten was Inayat with Akshaan and his charms that she decided to marry him within a week. However, they took things slow and got to know each other even better. Thus, after three and half years of courtship, the couple finally got the nod from their parents, "I've dealt with depression, starting my work from scratch and done my best to build an independent life. And Akshaan has been with me throughout, giving me confidence at my lowest. I'm glad that he's been in my life and will be there in the future as well!"

Bachelorette Party

A night of wine, fine dine and all things fine- the bachelorette was a gorgeous affair which consisted of so many wonderful things. From her entire bride tribe gathering with their pooches to celebrate the night, the bachelorette party was also visited by the groom, who stopped by to share some fun-filled moments with the bride and her friends. Dressed in a gorgeous customised dress from Zara for the party, Inayat also expressed her happiness about sharing the night with her beloved sisters and husband-to-be!

 Satsang For The Blessings

Taking place at her home's terrace were the first pre-wedding functions- the Satsang. For the Satsang, she said, "I had literally risked life (during Covid) and went to Chaura Bazar (a wholesale market in Ludhiana) to look for borders used on these sleeves. This was when the lockdown had just eased and there were a couple of cases only but the fear was a lot more. What a contrast to now when there are so many active cases but people don’t bother. The potli you see right there in my arm has been made out of my old suit by my mom. The kaleere were added by me begging our jewellery karigars to sew. The string that holds the potli has real semi-precious stones."

Bangle Ceremony

Next was the bangle ceremony where Inayat wore a gorgeous hand embroidered Lucknowi Anarkali in the shade lavender from Heritage Banaras with added mirror work. She paired this with a stunning navratna necklace and maathapatti set in Kundan and 22 karats gold with a statement gold ring. Akshaan, on the other hand, coordinated with his bride in a lavender hand embroidered kurta, with extra mirror work and Kundan buttons for a dash of sparkle!

Sundowner Mehendi

The sundowner mehendi was one of the most special events of the entire wedding celebration. For the mehendi ceremony, Inayat wore a beautiful red Anarkali, which was originally her mother's wedding lehenga. Pairing the outfit with her mother-in-law's wedding dupatta and a dainty cap. Adding more grace to the event was the amazing coordination of outfits carried out by her family, who wore gorgeous green ensembles. Akshaan, on the other hand, contrasted with his red-clad bride in a jet black outfit by designer Deepak S. Chhabra. Another quirky, and over the top cuteness that graced everyone at the function was Inayat's dog Mowgli in a custom made outfit and cap!

Describing her mehendi, Inayat said, "I dedicated the right hand to myself! I asked the mehendi artist to put various elements of my life onto the right hand. To start with, it represented my first true love for Ludhiana, depicted by the Clock tower. Since Ludhiana is known as the land of Butter Chicken, we also added that element into the design. Then, on the backside was a Rajasthani bride motif, along with all the cute names that Akshaan calls me. The left arm was dedicated to my groom, Akshaan. From India Gate to the quote 'Diwaalon ki Delhi', the location where we met and when we met along with a Rajasthani groom on the back, we added all elements significant to him!"

Engagement Ceremony

For the noon engagement ceremony, Inayat donned a stunning turquoise gown by Amit Aggarwal, which she paired with a set of custom made choker and earrings by Dhanda Jewellers. Gushing over her outfit, Inayat called the designer a genius for inventing recycled polymer for his outfits. Akshaan dressed up in a dapper white tuxedo for the engagement by Deepak S. Chhabra. The entire engagement ceremony had a very fairytale vibe, flowing with white florals and green foliage as decor.

Sun Kissed Haldi

Following the engagement was the haldi ceremony, taking place on the same day's evening. For the haldi, Inayat dressed up in a beautiful saree by House of Masaba, in her favourite colour, a.k.a yellow! She expressed her love for the colour by recounting in a post online, "My walls have been painted yellow while I was in school. I wore yellow socks for my board exams. Wore a yellow Kurti for my college exams. Yellow is the colour of SARASWATI! It is also a colour I believe to be lucky for me." Inayat also chose to wear very minimal jewellery in the shape of seashells in gold along with both arms full of yellow bangles!

Wedding Day

The wedding took place at the Whistling Wuds Resorts in Ludhiana. The entire venue was drenched in light golds and pastel florals to match the glowing bride and groom.

Stunning the crowd, Inayat walked down the aisle in a beautiful light gold lehenga with golden embroidery which was custom made by her mother. Another special feature of this stunning bridal lehenga was the fact that Inayat's mother hand-painted all the motifs on the lehenga, which took the duration of the entire lockdown to complete. Amplifying her ensemble was Inayat's light and glowing makeup and her custom made jewellery which was beyond beautiful! Since both the bride and groom wished to coordinate their outfits, Akshaan chose a golden sherwani with a handpainted stole (By Inayat's mother) which had an Indian maharaja who had a strong facial resemblance to the groom along with a red safa along and light jewellery.

Reception Party

The wedding was followed by a bright reception function, drenched in shades of red and good, dotted with flowers. For this function, Inayat wore a beautiful red and mint green lehenga with Kashmiri motifs by designer Rimple and Harpreet, which she paired with a three-layered Rajasthani Aad necklace. Yet again choosing a contrasting colour to his new bride, Akshaan wore a black sherwani with an embroidered velvet stole.
