Hailed as India’s most extravagant showcase of opulence and craft, FDCI India Couture Week 2018 is all set to drench you all in the grandeur of Indian wedding couture. Starting from July 25 to July 29 at the Taj Palace in the capital, the five-day haute couture extravaganza will showcase top 10 couturiers - Anju Modi, Pallavi Jaikishan, Rahul Mishra, Reynu Taandon, Rohit Bal, Shyamal & Bhumika, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani, and debutants Amit Aggarwal and Falguni & Shane.

Well, we can’t help but go gaga over the fact that India’s most coveted fashion connoisseurs are coming together to bring forth their latest wedding couture. Right from elaborated bridal lehengas to dreamy cocktail gowns to fusion wedding wear, everything is slated to sashay down the runway and give us some major wedding fashion inspirations to cache!

Wedding couture biggies like Tarun Tahiliani, Anju Modi, Amit Aggarwal and Shyamal & Bhumika are all geared up with their collections. A dream come true for Indian modern Brides by Tarun Tahiliani

Tinsel town swears by his designs for everything weddings, and so do we! ICW 2018 will see the king of drapes Tarun Tahiliani make Indian modern bride’s dream a reality with lightweight and comfortable ensembles. Giving ensembles a hiatus, Tarun Tahiliani is coming up with lehengas made with light fabrics 3D florals on cocktails lehengas and some concept sarees.

Pastel affair by Anju Modi

Known for her signature textile-soaked renditions, Anju Modi, has taken a detour from her usual, heavily embroidered lehengas and will light up the runway with a new theme. A dream designer for many, Anju Modi’s ICW 2018 collection is all about English hues, intricate laces and flowy fabrics that create an air of understated sophistication. None other than Kangana Ranaut will turn muse for her Victorian-era collection. Here’s a glimpse of what her couture collection will look like!

Naintara by Suneet Varma

As the name itself suggests, Suneet Varma’s couture 2018 is gonna be a blingy affair. A pioneer in amalgamating Indian sensibilities with European vision, Suneet’s 55 looks on the runway will have sequins, shimmer and fringes sit pretty on lehengas, dresses and blouses.

Traditional Tales by Shyamal & Bhumika 

Our all-time faves for Indian wedding couture, designer-duo Shyamal & Bhumika are gonna floor us with their contemporary silhouettes with exquisite detailing in natural, diaphanous fabrics. Their sparkling and vibrant dreamy wedding collection will also feature ancient embroidery techniques like zardozi pita.

Crystal couture by Amit Aggarwal

A magician with metallics and certainly one of the most unconventional couturier in Indian fashion, Amit Aggarwal is all prepped up to make a remarkable debut at India Couture Week. Much to our glee, his collection will revolve around the fascinating world of crystals. If you have a thing for bling, do keep an eye on Amit Aggarwal’s ICW couture.
