Having grown up dreaming of a big fat Indian wedding, our bride Suruchi was all set to tie the knot at the Fairmont Hotel in Jaipur in 2020 but then the lockdown happened due to the pandemic. While we’ve heard and shared numerous stories of brides who either postponed their wedding or had an intimate one, Suruchi was adamant of still going forward with a grand wedding.

So how does one still have a grand wedding when the lockdown is lurking around? You simply plan and execute everything well so as to avoid any risks or danger like this couple did for their spectacular wedding!

Introducing Harsh & Suruchi's Wedding in Mumbai

Mehendi Function

Suruchi’s mehendi function took place at the Blue Sea Banquet with 50 guests. The planners came up with a super cool idea of having an antakshari competition with audiovisuals synced for all the 50 guests! This function had really innovative things like customized tic-tacs, customized sanitizers with witty lines and masks with this couple’s wedding hashtag. Isn’t this just the cutest thing!?

Sangeet Function

Suruchi looked exceptionally pretty in a heavy yellow embroidered lehenga and we are digging the fact that she went with floral jewellery on the sangeet function because not a lot of brides do that!

#HarDilKiSur’s wedding planners had three types of performances set up for the bride and groom- live zoom performances, a stand-up comedian and an unplugged singer who performed on zoom, and the performances by the guests who were physically present.

A Heart-Warming Haldi Ceremony Followed By Dreamy Wedding

Suruchi got the wedding of her dreams as she didn’t compromise on any of the celebrations like having a baraat, phoolon ki chadar and vidai in a normal manner. Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that she looked absolutely breathtaking in that Sabyasachi red lehenga!

To ensure everyone's safety, the wedding planner, venue team and the catering team worked closely together to be on the same page. These guys came up with really cool and innovative ideas like providing face masks and sanitizers, decorating the venue 8 hours in advance so that the sanitization could take place, regular temperature checks and all the UV plates and bowls were UV sanitized from a UV box.
