Putting forward some of the most awe-inspiring bridal couture creations by India’s top-notch designers, the FDCI India Couture Week 2018 concluded on a high note last week. The five-day haute couture extravaganza was nothing short of a glam affair, with each day showcasing a dynamic set of designers presenting their drool-worthy and uniquely impressive bridal wear collection.

Whether it was the couture king Tarun Tahiliani’s magical collection ‘In Elyssium, for which Aditi Rao Hydari walked the ramp in a breathtakingly beautiful off-shoulder peach lehenga with a dazzling trail OR designer Amit Aggarwal’s unconventional yet stellar presentation of crystals on racy fabrics OR Falguni and Shane Peacock’s spellbinding display of everything glittery and shimmery, we had truck-loads of inspiration from each designer’s couture collection.

And to give you just the right inspo for this wedding season, here’s a quick round up on some of Shaadisaga's personal favorite ensembles from the show.

Tarun Tahiliani

Staying true to the concept behind his collection 'In Elysium' (of creating weightless garments for the modern Indian bride), Tarun Tahiliani showcased a wide variety of light and airy applique tulle lehengas, concept sarees, beautifully hand embroidered anarkalis and cocktail lehengas on the runway and left everyone stunned.

Falguni & Shane Peacock

Falguni & Shane Peacock's couture collection ‘Amour de Junagarh’ was nothing short of magic. The designer duo displayed some real amazing, unmissable designs and yet again proved that feathers, crystal embellishments, high necklines, fringe details can never go out of style. Also, if there's one design from this year's show that every to-be bride is going to go gaga over, it's the one that Kareena Kapoor (their muse for the show) donned at the runway from their collection.

Amit Aggarwal

Amit Aggarwal's collection, 'Crystalis' majorly constituted of racy fabrics hand embroidered with his signature recycled polymer detail in congruence with handwoven striped textile. What we completely loved about his collection was how he played with metallic shades, dramatic drapes, edgy patterns and innovative sleeves in his designs to make them stand out from the rest.
