She got famous overnight while the IPL match of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad was going on and she was the talk of the town. And after dating her beau for almost 7 years, the #RCBGirl decided to have a grand wedding aka #deetang in Phuket, Thailand on 7th and 8th March. They planned their dream beach wedding and booked the vendors well in advance. But the spread of Coronavirus was so fast that it made the couple to cancel their Thailand wedding. Yes! You read that right! 😔 The dates were finalised after having a traditional Gujarati ceremony, so they didn’t want to change that. The coronavirus must have stopped them to fulfill their childhood dream function but it couldn’t stop them to get married.

How Did You Two Meet?

"Chitang and I were in the same school. But we were never really friends. We never even interacted with each other for a very long time. After college, we started hanging out with our high school friends and each other. One night, he finally asked me out at my best friend’s birthday party. And with time, we fell in love. He finally proposed to me on our 6 years dating anniversary and planned a romantic surprise trip to Coorg, Karnataka, He got down on his one knees at the edge of a beautiful waterfall and asked me to be his forever," said Deepika Ghose.

Wedding Celebrations

The Wedding Day

Covid-19 scare made them change their destination wedding plans but this couple with their families decided to have an intimate wedding in Mumbai at the bride’s Nani’s place. The wedding was attended by only the parents, siblings and grandparents. It was an overwhelming experience for the bride as she got married at the same spot as her parents got married back then. They still hoped to celebrate their wedding in Thailand also. But 10 days before the decided date, they gave up on Thailand plans and thought of having other functions in Bangalore and sent this message to keep their loved ones informed and notify them to cancel their flight tickets. 👇🏻

Her intimate ceremony was filled with love and colours. Inspired by Deepika Padukone, she chose the Dil-Guldasta lehenga by Sabyasachi for her d-day. She adorned contrasting & exquisite emerald & uncut diamond jewellery from Anmol Jewellers for her wedding day looked gorgeous. On the other hand the groom, Chitang looked dapper in a beige bandhgala outfit with a pretty golden and red safa and multi-layered green neckpiece for the wedding-day. Oh! Don't miss to bookmark the mother & daughter duo portrait that is super beautiful to capture!

Reception Party

After the beautiful intimate wedding at her Nani's house, for the reception that took place in Mumbai, the bride decided to wear a whimsical Manish Malhotra lehenga and girl she look drop-dead-grogeous. With a white shimmery lehenga with floral embellishments Deepika Ghose chose to have her hair open with sleek straight hairstyle. With Manish Malhotra's signature sleeves and a choker in flatcut polkis encrusted on 18kt gold paired with Russian emeralds, she looked phenomenal and looks like we can't take our eyes off from this RCB Girl Fan!

Pre-Wedding Functions

Bridal Shower

A small bachelorette party was arranged by Deepika's dance crew for her. As you can see in the pictures, she looks a happy bride. In fact, she looked glamourous in her pink athleisure outfit. Well, quality time with your friends, a great party and lots of drinks, what else a bride can ask for?

Pool Party

Celebrating their pre-wedding functions with their loved ones the RCB girl and her husband-to-be kick-started their nuptial ceremonies with a pool party that was filled with fun, enjoyment and happiness. Don't agree? See it yourself.

Ganesh Pooja Ceremony

Before getting married at Deepika's ancestral house, the couple had a pooja ceremony. The couple was twinning in lavender outfits. Chitang chose a simple kurta and adorned an embroidered waistcoat with it, where Deepika stunned us in a lavender lehenga and she kept her bridal look with matching jewellery and a braided hairstyle that looked perfect for the day function.
