When the bride is the co-founder of a luxuriant wedding planning company, one can already guess how magnificent the wedding would be. But the moment we read terms like 'a seaplane couple entry', 'a floating baraat' and 'a water drummer' we knew it was something beyond extraordinary. Yes, that's exactly what Jueta Hemdev (Co-founder of Yolo Entertainment & Weddings ) and Puneet Lahrani's (Managing Director of KL Group) wedding was all about!

Hosted at three luxe locations, JA The Resort, Jebel Ali Beach, Dubai, JA Al Sahra Desert Resort, Dubai and St. Regis, Mumbai, Jueta & Puneet's 3-day long wedding celebrations were a spectacular one. Whether it was their tropical themed welcome brunch, the groovy sangeet with top-notch artists on board or the grand wedding with a breathtaking beachfront mandap, there were throughout steal-worthy elements that left us in sheer awe. And to witness all the splendour and grandeur of their union were creme de la creme of the Mumbai developers and the entertainment circuit as well as their esteemed guests from across the globe.

Jueta & Puneet's Boisterous Wedding Revelries

Mata Ki Chowki

Kick-starting the celebrations on an auspicious note, Jueta and Puneet hosted an opulent Mata Ki Chowki at Jade Gardens, Mumbai like pure royalties. The decorations for the event were way too magical with traditional colours like red, white and gold trimming the environs beautifully. While the sitting lounges were amped up with a lot of flowy drapes, impeccable chair decorations and gleaming fairy lights, the entrance was bedecked with aromatic tuberose curtains, some floral trellis & bells etched at the ceiling. What further enhanced the look and feel of the night was the lovely couple dressed in their best of outfit choices.

Keeping in sync with the decor colour palette, Jueta wore a marvellous floral print lehenga with a zero neck blouse and a matching dupatta. She paired up her attire with a striking maang tikka and shoulder-dusting Polki earrings. A beautiful half-tie hairdo, kohled eyes and bold red lips completed her look. Puneet whereas looked all desi in his traditional avatar. He donned an azure blue kurta with a pair of ivory dhoti pants and rounded off his look with a pair of black loafers.

The Beach Front Brunch-Cupid D’Amour

Followed by Mata Ki Chowki, the couple began their 3-day wedding extravaganza with a refreshing welcome brunch in Dubai. As the two entered the beachfront Mediterranean Captain's Restaurant & Bar in a private seaplane by Seawings, they were escorted by Mirror Man and Woman to the beats of the world famous water drummer, Walter Scalzone. Taking the celebrations a notch higher was the groovy tunes of DJ Memfisa of Nikki Beach and exquisite cocktails & sheesha bar by DrinQ by The Flamingo Trio and Hookah Royals that kept the guests all entertained throughout.

For the outdoor brunch, the decorations revolved around a tropical theme with pale yellow, ivory and lavender being the three dominant hues. The table settings were perfectly done with fancy printed linen and vases filled with yellow flowers. The ceiling decor for the DJ area was set up with delicate paper fringes and whimsical floral arrangements.

Radiating in a yellow flowy dress from Gavin Miguel, Jueta was a sight to behold. We loved how she steered clear of any jewels and fashioned her look with a pair of metallic wedges, open wavy tresses and dewy makeup. Puneet too kept his look semi-formal and dressed up in a pair of ivory trousers with a quirky jacket from Diya Rajvirr.

Symphony of Sands!

Later in the evening, the couple threw a grand Indo-Arabic Sangeet bash at the JA Al Sahra Desert Resort Amphitheater situated in the heart of the desert. The decorations for the night were every bit stunning. Canopy seatings adorned with fairy lights, well-lit ceilings, stupendous table settings and ornate chairs were all incorporated in the ceremony. Magnifying the essence of the night further were photo ops with horses, camels and a falcon, belly dancers and fire drummers. Rooh Band from Dubai lit up the stage with his stellar performances and got everyone grooving for hours on end. DJ Sumit Sethi and his band too played some of his popular chartbusters and set the dance floor ablaze.

The couple made a dashing entry on a stretch hummer limousine dressed in their colour-coordinated outfits, giving us gobs of ideas to save. Jueta looked like a real diva clad in her custom red lehenga and peplum blouse from Kresha Bajaj. She perfectly teamed it up with a shining diamond necklace and matching earrings. Nude lips, flushed cheeks and a half-time hairdo added the finishing touches to her overall look. Puneet, on the other hand, looked dapper AF in his velveteen jacket paired with a cowled kurta and pants by Gavin Miguel. 

Dual Baraat & Fairytale Wedding 

Celebrated at the plush property of JA The Resort at Jebel Ali Beach, Jueta & Puneet's wedding day shenanigans were never seen before spectacle to be remembered forever. It boasted of phenomenal decorations, beguiling outfits,  boisterous fireworks & soul-stirring rituals. The bride and groom both had their respective baraats. Yes, you read that right! While the bride made a larger-than-life entry on a cruise with her lovely clan, the groom, on the other hand, started his baraat with a bang in a swanky Rolls Royce, his mobile bar, followed by popular DJ Sumit Sethi on his float.

The couple solemnized their love on a beachfront mandap amidst the infinity pool overlooking the beach. The mandap was beautifully set up with a plethora of blooms in pink & white hues and looked every bit surreal. However, what added more to its glory was the power-packed performances by Suryaveer Hooja & DJ Sumit Sethi (and their bands) who got everyone dancing and frolicking around into the wee hours of the morning. All in all the couple celebrated #PuNeedsJu with enough pomp and show.

Making for a dazzling bride, Jueta donned a glimmering dusty pink Sabyasachi lehenga with a basic sweetheart neck blouse and double dupattas. She teamed it up with a huge polki necklace, jhumkis and an elaborate matha patti. For the makeup, makeup artist Shayli Nayak gave her a soft & smooth base with flushed cheeks, bold lips and outlined eyes. A beautiful rose & baby's breaths bun, quintessential red chooda and dangling kaleeras completed her look. Puneet too made for a debonair groom in his ivory sherwani and dhoti from Rohit Bal. He paired it with a multi-layered pearl necklace and a gold-beige safa.

The Happily Ever After

Concluding their wedding ceremonies on an equally lavish note, the couple hosted a reception ceremony at the St. Regis Hotel, Lower Parel, Mumbai. It was a grand soiree with over 1000 guests from across the world in attendance. The interiors of the venue lent this glamorous bash just the right kind of panache and elegance. However, the highlight of this spectacular night was the Angelic Ice Bar Sculpture, specially handcrafted by Imagine Ice as well as the broad spectrum of cocktails by The Wedding Bartenders. DJ Amann Nagpal further amped up the vibes with his performances and got everyone into the festive mood.

For the reception, Puneet opted for a textured black tuxedo with satin lapels from Gavin Miguel and looked classy as ever. Complementing him just well, Jueta wore a dazzling Falguni & Shane gown with poker straight hair, an exquisite diamond set and red lips.

Jueta & Puneet's Love Tale

Jueta and Puneet’s story began over coffee. Which eventually turned into a number of coffees, dinners and conversations that lead them to realize that they were meant for each other. Puneet formally planned a stunning proposal at his bungalow in Amby valley with close family. While the families sipped on wine, Puneet whisked Jueta outside the beautifully decorated backyard and popped the question with rings that were etched with the infinity logo of JP. And thus began the journey of #PuNeedsJu.
