Weddings that are packed with oodles of decor inspiration, outfits that tug at the heart, and all those hearty vibes they elicit have always been our favorite. And this Delhi wedding of the much-in-love couple, Nancy & Saurav, was precisely that. From being merely casual friends to sharing a rented room to finally becoming real-life partners, Nancy & Saurav’s love story is straight out of a Karan Johar film. And so was their wedding which was a warm and comfortable celebration with distinctive decor elements, an oh-so-pretty Vedi and a color-coordinated couple.

Since words can't best describe this quintessence wedding, let the beautiful snapshots captured by ace photographer Simran from Beginnings for you do the talking!

Here's what we loved from Nancy & Saurav's Wedding

1. Bride’s getting ready shots

The skilled team of Beginnings for you is the best when it comes to clicking bridal shots. And Nancy’s outstanding getting ready shots are proof. Be it the captivating jewellery & outfit shots or the ones where the bride can be seen posing for the camera, each of them was done with sheer perfection.

2. Peachy red and fairy light lit decor

Kudos to the crew of Wedding Duo for turning around the plush property of Jaypee Siddharth into an enchanted garden. Each corner of the venue was beautifully trimmed with hues of red, green and peach.

The floral arch entrance to their gatsby wedding was a complete eye catcher. It was exquisitely done with fresh blooms, lush greens, twinkling fairy lights and cascading tea light candle holders. What caught our eyes were the opulent geometric lanterns and lotus-shaped water vessels surrounding the floral arch.

The Jaimala stage had a beautiful peachy backdrop with stunning floral arrangements, a cozy sofa sitting for the couple and some more Moroccan lanterns.

The table settings were done with peach and floral printed linens, antique elephant centerpieces, candles and vases filled with red & pink blooms.

The highlight of Nancy and Saurav’s wedding decor was their dreamy Vedi, which was decorated with warm tones like orange and red accompanied by peach drapes, floral arrangements and a huge crystal chandelier in the center.

4. An all-rose Jaimala

This beautiful all-rose Jaimala is one of the best jaimala designs we have spotted of late. It is simple yet bewitching at the same time. Also because we have a thing for red roses, we can’t just stop gushing over it.

5. Pheras with Live Jugalbandi

Another unmissable element from the couple’s wedding was their musical pheras.

The bride narrates,

We had a traditional and much more peaceful option for music. A team of sitar, tabla and flute players performing live. Had this all through our pheras also. One of the best decisions we made!

6. An ever-smiling couple

The extravagant wedding also witnessed a happy couple who was all smiles throughout their wedding vows.

Nancy looked stunning as a bride in her blood-red bridal lehenga which she perfectly accessorized with dainty jewels, red lips, and well-defined eyes. Saurav, on the other hand, made a dapper groom in an ivory and gold sherwani which he teamed with a red pagdi and maroon shawl.

7. Their mushy story- From Roommates to Real Life Partners

We did our Bachelors degree from the same university in India but didn’t know each other then. Then in 2014, I decided to apply for my Master's degree in Australia. I was not sure of the University of Melbourne was the right choice for me. I was looking for assurance from someone who had attended the Uni. That’s when I found Saurav on Facebook through mutual friends. He was just finishing off and was in his last semester. We started talking and found out how similar we were with our goals, family values, and approach in life.

The moment I landed in Melbourne, Saurav offered to let me stay at this place while I found an apartment to rent. We got to know each other a lot more during this time and ended up spending a lot of time between classes together.

With so many common things between us, we couldn’t believe we had only just met. It felt like the entire universe conspired to help us find each other and fall in love.
