Don't we all just dread working on Saturdays? And to be called to work on a Sunday is nothing less than a nightmare! But meet Ankur and Aditi, a Canada-based CA couple who bonded during a few working Sundays in office and eventually fell in love. The much-in-love couple recently solemnized their love in one of the most endearing weddings. Brimmed with sheer love and hearty giggles, Aditi and Ankur's wedding revelries are what dreams are made of! You would see the bride and groom exchanging laughs in every other picture, and that's the kinda vibe we admire the most!

Apart from being an endearing wedding soiree, Aditi and Ankur's wedding is also bundled with loads of inspiration for all brides and grooms-to-be. Right from the decor themes and outfit choices to tiny details like how to welcome the groom, this wedding is purely unmissable. Kudos to planners Events by Whim and decor vendors Starzz Design & Decor for pulling off this surreal wedding and to Darkroom Doctors Studios for capturing the entire extravaganza in its pure essence.

Exuberant Wedding of Ankur & Aditi

Mehendi Ceremony

Looking absolutely charming in a pink and white floral lehenga, Aditi kickstarted her wedding revelries in style. She paired the look with an ivory-hued floral maangtikka and earrings set and nude makeup look. Her beauteous smile and a contemporary armlet rounded off her look. For the bride's mehndi seating, a wooden jhoola was amped with floral strings, colourful cushions and Rajasthani umbrellas. Bright-hued drapes further made for a picture-perfect backdrop for this vibrant homely mehendi ceremony.

Sangeet Ceremony

Drenched in gobs of marigolds and quirky decor elements, Aditi and Ankur's Sangeet ceremony was one true traditional and fun affair. The immensely skilled team of Starzz Design and Decor created a faux palace installation on both the sides of the couple's seating setup. The jhoola seating was adorned with fresh marigolds and white blooms and was quirked up with funky cushions. The bright yellow drapes and quirky photobooth with frames further upped the vibrant aesthetics!

For the outfits, Aditi ditched the quintessential glimmering Sangeet gown and clad herself in a pretty orange Anarkali suit. The attire was custom-made by a Delhi boutique run by Poonam Rajey and was inspired by Meena Kumari's outfit in the song Thaare Rahio O Baanke Yaar with the colour changed to Orange. She styled it with braided hair and gold jewels with blue baubles and a passa that evoked Mughal empress vibes. On the other hand, Ankur looked dapper in an ivory bandi set with intricate golden embroideries.

Oh, their Sangeet decor also had a filmy touch that you definitely should not miss!

Heartfelt & Intimate Haldi-Choora Ceremony

Aditi's haldi-choora ceremony was one hearty and an intimate homely affair. The bride looked gorgeous in a simplistic red and yellow suit which she teamed with a maangtikka, earrings and a gold choker. The keen attention paid to the tiny elements made turned it into a picturesque ceremony; we love how the haldi bowl and trays were adorned with red laces that also resonated with the bride's outfits.

For the choora, Aditi slipped into a simplistic mint green suit and sat against a gorgeous wall backdrop adorned with subtle drapes.

On the other hand, the groom Ankur had a fun-filled haldi ceremony after a pooja.

The Wedding

Aditi & Ankur's wedding was a true celebration of their love which reflected in their constant beaming smiles. Right from the colour-coordinated bridesmaids to the ethereal decor and a fun groom entry, this wedding has our hearts for so many hearty reasons. But first things first, the ever-smiling bride, Aditi stunned in a gorgeous pink lehenga set by Om Prakash Jawahar Lal and teamed it up with a sage green dupatta. For jewellery, she wore a kundan ensemble consisting a choker, mathapatti and jhumkis, etched with green pearls.

Groom, on the other hand, wore a classic white achkan with golden embroideries and teamed it up with a magenta safa to complement his bride.

The baraatis made a dashing dancing entry but we are majorly hearting how the bridesmaids welcomed the groom. The bridesmaids prepared fun games and dare tasks for the groom, only after which he was allowed to cut the welcome ribbon and enter the venue.

For the wedding, the decorators kept it all simple yet classy. The highlight of the wedding decor was the couple's stage-cum-mandap which was decorated with endless cascading white floral strings, subtle-pink & golden drapes and some more resplendent pastel flowers.

Here are a few more captivating snippets from their D-day that will leave you awestruck!

The Reception

The wedding was followed by a lavish reception for which Aditi dazzled in a heavily embellished dusty blue gown by Om Prakash Jawahar Lal. Looking stunning as ever, Aditi teamed her glimmering outfit with ruby pink jewels and a neat bun hairdo. Her debonair groom made a classy sartorial statement and donned a self-printed black tuxedo.

The gold-themed reception indoor decor was a sight to behold! The couple sat against an all gold gilded backdrop with a crystalized chandelier in the centre and some flowy drapes in green. A printed dance floor with the couple's name etched on it was one yet another ogle-worthy element of their endearing reception.
