Real Brides on Top Wedding Mistakes Made By Them!

On Mistakes That Involved the Pictures!

👰🏻Devika reveals, “Running fast towards the groom was one of my biggest mistakes. The photographers got really pissed and we could not get enough solo pictures!”

👰🏻On the topic of photographers, Bhavika tells us, “Turns out, you need different lights for indoor and outdoor photos. I didn’t take a memo of lighting from the team and did not get the best pictures that I had hoped for!”

Bhavika adds, “I didn’t consider skin prepping would take so much time which leads to us losing precious daylight for photos!”

On Mistakes That Involved Getting Ready

👰🏻Manali shares, “I should not have kept one makeup artist for both my mom and me. We got extremely late considering one person had to get both the bride and her mother ready on time.”

👰🏻Sneha chimes, “I got ready way too early and had to spend hours waiting in my dressing room. I mean, who likes to be inside a room at their wedding!?”

On Mistakes That Involved the Bridal Look

👰🏻Sucheta tells us, “My biggest mistake was not wearing shorts inside my lehenga. I got hitched during the humid season in Bombay and was sweating throughout the ceremony!”

She also adds, “I hadn’t anticipated just how heavy my bridal lehenga will be. Ended up getting the worst possible rash for 10 whole days. Also, ditch zardosi blouses cuz you’ll end up getting an insane amount of scratches!”

👰🏻Daljit chimes, “I got married in Punjab 8 years ago. Back then, we didn’t have good hair and makeup artist options there. I ended up getting the most basic hairdo and a pin kept popping out of my hair bun, making it really difficult for me to stay comfortable. Probably should have hired someone from Bombay or Delhi!”

👰🏻Kanika shares, “I didn't know that I needed a double dupatta with my lehenga to cover my head, as is customary. Even the place from where I bought my bridal lehenga did not mention it, and later, I ended up with a low-cut blouse, which became quite awkward when touching elders' feet to seek blessings.”

She also adds, “I regret buying pencil heels instead of platform heels; someone who doesn't usually wear heels tends to feel quite uncomfortable eventually.”

On Mistakes That Involved the Bridal Entry

👰🏻Shweghna shares, “I had planned this really cool bridal entry that involved my friends. I was so nervous about whether they would be able to maintain the flow that I started panicking minutes before entering the venue.”

#WBTip: Don’t get so involved in the wedding planning that you start stressing out on the big day!

👰🏻Kanika reveals, “While making the grand entry, I didn't take note of my posture; a bent back made my stomach look bad. A little proper posture would have made me feel more confident.”
